Ours was not a Disney Wedding - but we did make a Wedding progam. We printed it on our home computer.....It ended up having a lot more info than we originally planned, so we made it into a booklet. We printed the pages on 8 1/2 x 11 paper, landscape and we printed both sides of the paper - so one sheet of paper was 4 pages. We folded each sheet in half and cut the edges with deckle scissors. The we put them all inside a cardstock cover and tied with ribbon.
We had:
Page 1 - Our names, date and location
Pages 2 & 3 had the wedding ceremony - we listed all the music and the two readings
Pages 4 & 5 & 6 had the wedding party and a few lines about each. (I am Australian, my DH is Canadian, and for a lot of our guests this was the first time they had met each other) e.g.
Maid of Honour Jo XXXXXXX
Hobart, Tasmania
Jo and Rachael met in brownies and 1977 and have been friends ever since. They worked and traveled together in Europe for 2 years, creating havoc whereever they went
Page 7 has the order of the reception
and page 8 had the following:
Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and for luck a penny in her shoe.
Old - a brooch that belonged to Rachael's Great Great Grandmother, lent to Rachael by her Grandmother
New - Dress, shoes, veil, etc
Borrowed - a handkerchief that belonged to Dave's Great Grandmother - lent by the groom's mother
Blue - Rachaels initials and the wedding date are emroidered into the lining of her dress in blue
Penny - a penny from Australia (have been out of circulation since 1984) and a penny from Canada.
Rachael and Dave's toasting glasses were given to them by xxxxx and xxx xxxxxx, Dave's Great Aunt and Uncle. They originally belonged to Dave's Great Grandparents.
It made a great souvenir, and our guests learnt alittle about us, and understood the significance of some of the things we had chosen.
Wow that was longer than I thought!
