We are planning trip to DL Fri-Fri, Nov 17-24. Anyone have any idea how crowded the weekend before Thanksgiving will be? What abou the days leading up to Thanksgiving (Mon-Wed)? :rotfl2:

Some schools have Thurs/FRi; some have Wed-Fri; and some are all week - and some people travel from other areas during that week to enjoy the park. Check the hours - when the hours increase - the park expects crowds - so if the hours are extended the whole week - then DL expects the crowds to increase the whole week.

I find the schedule is your best bet to predict crowds - shortened hours= less expected crowds and longer hours=larger expected crowds

DL has this down to a science - trust their findings.

The worst is supposed to be the weekend after TG. We went last year on Wed before TG, and it was about as busy as a mid-summer weekday. Which is to say, pretty busy but not terrible. Prepare for it to be busy, but not insane.

We were there Thanksgiving through Sunday last year - Thursday was very slow - hardly anyone there - and then Fri and Sat picked up quite a bit - especially during the day when the weather was nice - but still not horrible - we got through everything that we wanted to with no issues.

We went Sat-Wed before Thanksgiving, it was packed, but not horribly so. We did just fine getting around and dealing with crowds. Just use your fast passes wisely and be to the parks early. Thanksgiving Day-Sun are supposed to be the worst, I believe they reached capacity a couple, if not all of those days.

I'll be there in the days preceeding the holiday also. I think the hours start extending the weekend prior. It will be busy but we're going to be doing a lot of other things during the day so later in the evening should work fine for us.

More schools in my area are taking the whole week of Thanksgiving off. I think you will have more locals early in the week who want to go to Disneyland before Thanksgiving and the weekend following it.
