What about pets?

I am glad I found this thread. My family and I are going to WDW in June. I have totally stressed over what to do with my to "babies". I have a 9# rat terrier and a 6.5# chihuahua. :dog2: :dog: I have checked into pet sitters ($40 per day for 2 visits.) I have asked family to keep them (noone will commit), I even asked a girl from church to come spend the nights at my house (she had plans) My dogs are used to being left during the day, but never have been left all night. I have checked out kennels here about town and do not like what I see as they are just chain link fences between the kennels and my little chihuahua would really not do well in that envirement.

SO I started looking at kennels near WDW. I did not want them just in a small crate all day so WDW kennels were out. I did however find a kennel about 1 mile from WDW. It is call BASS PET MOTEL. They actually have concrete walls between the kennels so Holly would never see the other dogs there except for the one directly across from them. They said they could bunk together.
I am also paying a $5 chg for one on one time for them to play and cuddle them every day. I do not want to leave them but I do know I need this vacation very much.

So I made ressies for my "babies" there. I can visit them if I choose, they have a play yard just for that purpose. The lady did advise me not to as it might upset them, and I havent made up my mind about that yet. At least I know they will be close by and I have the option of seeing them. We did not want to miss out on the magic of staying onsite, So this is the choice we made. I can only pray it is the right one.:confused3

Sorry so long... but really needed to get this out. :goodvibes

We are putting our dog in a doggy daycare while we are gone. He has a 4'x6' area to play in and a radio. I can take their bed, toys, food, bowls, etc; there for them. For a little bit more they could have a bigger space with a tv! I don't even have a tv in my room! He will be able to play with the other dogs for a recess and will have one on one attention time too. He probably will have more attention than being left at home by himself during the day while we are at work and school. It will cost us about $200 or a little more but it is worth it to take care of our baby.

WDW July 15-22 CBR  :Pinkbounc :bounce: :cool1: Disney here we come!
