What about milk on South Beach?

I was just looking at my new cookbook and it says that milk is allowed in moderation (2 servings of low fat per day). Is this in addition to the other dairy products that a person can have, or total per day? I would love to have a glass of cold skim milk in the morning, but not sure that I'm reading this right.

The milk is in addition to other dairy. I usually have about a 1/2 cup of 1% with my whole wheat cereal just about every morning. Enjoy!

You could try the new Carb Countdown milk from Hood... they have it in skim, 2%, whole, and chocolate.

Lower carbs (due to lower lactose) would fit in fine with your South Beach.
