What about makeup?

I use Some of Mally's products now. Anything in particular that you are thinking of??

I use the pore less primer, foundation, under eye brightner, the shadow sticks for eye shadow, and the lipgloss. Oh and I guess the mascara too!

I have oily skin, and we can have pretty humid days in the summer here. I love MAC Pro Longwear foundation. It stays put! I use a primer, a little bit of oil-free moisturizer, the MAC foundation, and then set with a translucent powder. The trick with applying the foundation is to use a slightly damp foundation brush, as it can set fairly fast causing it to be difficult to blend. The damp brush also allows you to use as much or as little coverage as you need. Occasionally, throughout the day, I use oil blotting papers, but, really, this foundation really helps with the controlling the oil.

That's what I use! :)

Cool! I haven't used the poreless primer yet. Going to check that out! Thanks!! :)

I stick with the mineral powder foundations. I'm cheap, so I just buy covergirl, and I think it works pretty well.

I have psoriasis, and in the last few years it has started appearing on my face (very lightly), so the powder just takes the redness away.

I wear neutral colored eye shadow, and waterproof mascara. I don't do liner while at Disney. It's too messy.

I will add I always put sunscreen on before I apply my make up. I know most of it has sunblock in it, but it's not really enough.

Normally, I don't wear any foundation but I will wear a tinted moisturizer with SPF factor. I also carry those blotting pads. I like waterproof mascara and can carry an eyeliner and moisturizing lipstick by Modele. I really like their products but they are hard to find.

I think I'll check Ulta and Sephora to see if they have samples of the Urban Decay products. If the sample works with my oil slick then we might be onto something! Thanks!!

I purchase my Urban Decay Eye Primer from Sephora. I purchased their smallest tube in early January and am still using it. A little goes a long way. Plus it is much cheaper then Bare Minerals eye primer which I had to purchase several times a year. If you can't get a free sample just bite the bullet and purchase their smallest tube, I'm sure you'll be happy you did. I can't speak for any other Urban Decay products as I haven't needed to purchase anything lately.

OK. I'm from Germany, so it may not work, but I use a Garnier BB cream for oily skin (SPF 30) in the heat. It was a "cheap try" and it worked for me.

Regular BB creams just seem to lack "stay power" for me--2 hours later and it's gone. I don't have oily skin really, but this seems to keep the sweat at bay. Regular foundation seems "heavy" to me and I'm a cheapskate.

This plus a lip/cheek/eyeshadow tint (if I'm in a pinch, all my lipsticks are "neutral" enough to be a cream blush). If I feel I'll need it (pale as death naturally), I'll toss it in my bag, jic.

I love only carrying my clinique "black honey" lip gloss and a few oil blotters and that's it.

My big thing: I go to the hairdresser right before any vacation and have my eyelashes dyed ultra black. They are really long, but the ends are blond, so you cannot see them. When they are dyed, they look "naturally enhanced". I like it.

This makes mascara "optional" or for fancy evenings when I want more "oomph".

I am a self-proclaimed makeup junkie. Between my continual battle with adult acne, skin that varies from really dry to really oily with no rhyme or reason, and my pale pale eyelashes I shudder at the thought of going makeup free. So much respect and jealousy for those of you who just do moisturizer and stuff. *sigh*

I've also been to WDW many times in August when it is like walking though an oven.

After a lot of trail and error, I have found that the E.L.F. brand setting spray (sold at Target) works the best at keeping everything where it should be, IMO. A bottle is $3.00 and it has aloe and cucumber and vitamins in it. The smell takes a minute to get used to, but my makeup does not move at all.

During the day, my routine for Florida in August is:
Moisturizer with SPF mixed with a little bit of good foundation. Clinque Acne Solutions liquid makeup is my all time favorite and a little goes a long way for awesome coverage.
A very small amount of Urban Decay eyeshadow primer (love the shade called "Greed") with a very light color/natural looking shadow job done over it. Or no eyeshadow at all over it.
Mascara
Lip gloss
a tiny tiny tiny bit of powder
and the setting spray mentioned above

Then at night I do the same plus darker eyeshadow and a bit of eyeliner.

Usually by mid week I look like a lobster, regardless of how much sun screen I use. At that point I typically forget the powder all together and double up on the setting spray.

Hope that helps!

After sweating through the Florida sunshine and 5 trips, I go with a little eyeliner, mascara, and occasionally lip gloss/tint.

I use tinted moisturizer, a bit of mascara and lip gloss. I like to keep it simple when we're in a hot environment.

For a day in the parks I wear tinted moisturizer, tinted lip balm with an spf, blush, and some waterproof mascara if I'm feeling really fancy. If we go out for dinner I will spend a bit more time.

That is exactly what I do too.

Benefit has a primer called POREfessional and it rocks. I have very oily skin, and this helps absorb the oil and it holds my Clinique Redness Solution foundation on greatly. On particularly sweaty days, I use blotting papers to help. If you carry a back pack or tote, you can keep the primer and foundation in there for touch ups. Urban Decay eyeshadow primer will hold your shadow in place for 24 hours - no lie. Make Up Forever has a waterproof eyeliner and then I skip the mascara and just curl my lashes.

Ok this will sound a bit silly but the cheap toilet paper that Disney uses works just as well as the blotting papers!

I went at the end of June, so it was HOT! I was there for an interview, so of course I wore makeup (I usually wouldn't) and Urban Decay's primer and setting spray worked wonders. I bought both for other occasions, but they were perfect for that trip.

We just got back and I second the Primer suggestion. I used Clinique Primer and my makeup stayed on for hours.

We spent the first week of August at WDW. I know it's vacation, but I am in the camp of wanting to look good in all the photos -- and I've gotten many compliments on them so I guess I did okay! First step was a spray on tan before we left (Versa Spa). I then used a Neutrogena tinted moisturizer and their concealer. Both have good broad-spectrum SPF protection and give a little glow. I used the Mally eyeliner -- got it at Ulta. Waterproof Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara. And whatever tinted lip balm or lip gloss I had on me. Sometimes I set the makeup with IT Cosmetics Luminzer powder foundation. It's in a compact so good for travel.

I did, however, pretty much give up on my hair and let it curl naturally. I got a layered cut a week before the trip so it would lay okay.

Skip it. You are on vacation!

Beauty should never take a vacation :lmao:

I use bareMinerals (original) every day, and it's no different @ Disney. I love the way the mineral powder stays in the heat and doesn't look like I'm made up. I use the loose powder formula with a kabuki brush over a moisturizer with sunscreen (currently Neutrogena Deep Moisture Day Cream with SPF 20) in the morning, then a little eyebrow pencil and eye liner set with a little more of the powder. Finish with mascara and Burt's Bee's lip shimmer over an SPF lip balm of some kind. I carry the bareMinerals READY (in a compact), with a mini kabuki and lip shimmer in my bag for touch ups.

I am her now. It has been hot hot hot!!! Been using tinted moisturizer and loose powder. I haven't had the previous problem of all my makup ending up on my shirt.
