What about Fridays at US?

Our trip is 9/1-9/8. Grabbed a good airfare yesterday and starting to think about what days what parks. Found out this morning about this 'night of joy' thing at WDW 9/5 & 6. Maybe avoiding Disney would be good Friday.

So how is Universal Studios generally on Fridays? Horrible? Anyone have experience for that right after labor day time?

I think I've heard that Universal is doing something at this time to correspond w/the NOJ. Any specifics on that?

One more general question, what are park hours like around this time.

Fridays aren't too bad. Also, September is the slowest month out of the theme parks (except for Labor Day). Crowds are very minimal.

September isnt the slowest month, IMO. November and February are really dead.
