So, I kinda got this idea from the thread I just posted to about what is your fav land, and it got me to thinking about all the stuff that isnt there anymore that I miss. Then I though of a few things that are not there anymore that I could so live without. I hope nobody gets offended by this thread, I just though it would be fun.

What do you miss the least from DLR? It can be a shop, parade, attraction, tour, restaurant, anything??

I ll go first..

I do not miss Circlevision. The most boring thing ever. I hated when my dad would drag us into that. SOOOO Boring!!!!

Interesting thread.....

I guess I don't miss "Captain EO" - I mean, I saw it several times for the effects, but the movie itself kind of creeped me out, and of course MJ kind of lost his luster after the 80's....:scared:

In the more literal sense, when we leave DL I always miss the Tiki Lounge the least, I can never get that song out of my head, kinda makes me crazy!! I know thats not what you meant.
Okay, well when I was little I never liked the America Sings, but now I miss it. Okay okay, um except for the air conditioning, I guess Circle vision was a drag for me too.
It made me dizzy.

Monsanto's House of the Future LOL..even though I never saw it,i'm sure I wouldn't miss it! ...Definetly Circle Vision is not missed much.

I agree with Grumpy, Captain EO - I didn't even remember that's what it was called...

On the other side, I don't miss after leaving the bad food, even though I know there is good food there, I always seem to just buy the yuck stuff... :rotfl:

Circlevision made me sick when I was a kid..I DO miss Captain EO, and I thought the Monsanto House was very cool. I do not miss the Country Bears...I never cared for that show.

I liked Circlevision. It felt immersive, like being there. I grew up with terrible motion sickness problems, but it never bothered me.

Believe it or not, my kids started talking about how much they want to go back to the Tiki Room on our trip this week. I like the Tiki Room and would miss it if it were gone.

I didn't really miss the subs when they were gone. I always found them slow and boring. But, time heals all bad memories and of course the first ride I have planned (before it gets too busy) is Nemo.

Also, I don't miss the Skyway gondola ride. I was always scared on it.

Hmm...well, since I've only been there twice, I'd have to say "Mission to Mars" (at least I think that's what it was called). It was there when I went w/my parents, and it was okay, but when I went again, it was closed down, and I thought, "They must be building something better."

So, yeah...I guess Mission to Mars.

I LOVED Captain EO & Videopolis, but I am a child of the 80's!:cool1: I don't think I would like Videopolis now, but Circle Vision is a good choice of what is not missed. Another one for me would be the Fiberoptic parade that came out a while back, nothing beats the REAL electric light parade.

I don't think I even ever saw Captain EO! LOL So I would have to say yes, I must miss that the least. Never had interest in seeing it even. LOL

I hated the People Mover when you went into the building for the Tron part. It scared me. I loved the Skyway and how you could go through the hole in the Matterhorn. I hated Circlevision because there was no place to sit, just those railings to lean against. My dad always dragged us in there, too! Does anyone remember the Mission to Mars ride? Not sure if I miss that one, either.

OK, there is a definite pattern here, in the post with which land do you love and what do you miss the least...Tomorrowland! It just never seems to be futuristic enough and stuff goes in and out of there like crazy.

The Rocket Rods. What a waste of time!

I never even saw Captain EO, but I remember being more than a bit panicy in Circlevision. My agoraphobia had not been diagnosed at that point.

Oh, I forgot about the rocket rides. Pooh-sized me and my equally Pooh-sized friend tried squeezing our combined stuffing into one rocket....and got stuck. We disembarked without ever having left the launch pad.....

Must have mentally blocked that one. Thanks for the reminder DevilDuckie..... I'll be forwarding my therapist bill your way.....:rotfl:

I liked Captain EO only because Michael Jackson was in it and I was a big Michael Jackson fan.

I miss the Skyway because I did enjoy it. I also miss America Sings.

I do not miss Mission to Mars. It scared me to death when I was a little girl. I really thought we were going to space.

I forget what it's called but a few of you have commented on it, but that attaction with the huge screens and..what was it? Circle vision? I hated it. We'd get dragged in there, there weren't enough seats and it was taking away from valuable ride time!

Videopolis - was that back there near the entrance to the now Toon Town and it would play music and you could dance?

But I want to add that while there are things I don't miss, I am grateful to have them as memories. That's what I love about Disneyland, there's good and bad but even the bad attractions aren't that bad.

Oh my, I must be young because I don't remember any of that stuff. Well I remember Captain EO.. I don't really miss it, but HISTA isn't much better, IMO.. :3dglasses

I remember the Skyway, because everytime we would walk under it I would always think that there's nothing from stopping someone jumping off and falling on me.. :worried: Yeah, I don't really miss those either.. Plus now that I'm older, I've grown a more aware sense of heights and I would have probably been scared out of my mind to go on those now..

Even though this is a thread of what we don't miss, I can tell you what I do. The Sleeping Beauty diorama. I always though the dolls looked nothing like the characters from the movie, but I still liked that and I miss it..

PrettyPrincessBelle-You sound like me. I started this thread, but I dont remember any of the responses almost because it was before my time. I do remember the Skyway and the PeopleMover. I do also rememember Cptn. EO. The rest, dont even know what they are about!!

Regarding captain EO-I didnt mind it when I was a kid, but there was a little fuzzy looking thing with wings I think, it might have been peach in color, and I though it was sooo cute!! Oh, and HISTA is sooo boring. It needs to go somewhere.

CIRCLEVISION was sooo boring, my little sister was lucky she was a toddler and could fall asleep in our dads arms while my brother and I had to sit on the floor and watch our valuable ride time go bye!!
