What about Dec 15th - 22?

Still trying to find the best balance between crowds and missing school. This way we'd miss a couple days of school but no concerts and work would likely be light. Are the crowds still reduced then like early december? By how much? Please advise.

I'm looking for the same time frame. According to the park hours, they aren't being extended until the 23rd---same date as room discounts end. I think that is encouraging.

Earlier in the week better than the end of the week. Do the high traffic attractions first, and I think you'd have a good week.

From what I hear it gets progressively more crowded every day through that week. It won't be crazy like Christmas week but it will be getting cozy by the end of the week.

Many Florida students are off that week and the seasonal passes are not blocked out until December 22nd so you may have more locals at the parks. Since seasonal passes aren't blocked off until the 22nd Disney doesn't think the crowds will be as bad that week.

Last year, we were there in the same time frame, and it did get progressively crowded as the week went on. We attended the last MVMCP and would not do it again. We actually left on the Friday before Christmas, but would consider that week again. Not as good as 2 weeks before Christmas, but better than the week of Christmas.

I CAN'T WAIT!!! Ill be there the 17th through the 22nd. i've been there once before the week of christmas and that was horrible. i was pretty little but i do remember that it was horridly busy. wouldn't do that again. i wantedt to go earlier in december however, i am a college student and can not afford to miss classes. my thinking is...i am going the last full week before christmas. christmas is on monday this year so people will most likely have a full working week the week before and won't be traveling to the world untill saturday/sunday for their disney christmas. haha hopefully im right. we'll just have to wait and see. ugh...wait i hate that word. maybe ill see you there?

uh oh. We are going December 19th-26th. I figured we would do Christmas Eve at Universal and Christmas Day at Disney. I think the only thing that might help is that we are staying on site.

I'm hoping to get through everything (even, hopefully, one warm day at TL) early in the week so we can use the end of the week to fill in w/shows, etc. Our MVMCP is 12/21.

We went Dec 15-23, 2001 and Dec 16-24, 2005.

The first time we went wasn't bad, but the Sat before christmas was AWFUL in the MK!! Thankfully back then it was just me and DH! We used fast pass and thought the crowds were fine except for that Saturday. MUCH better than during the summar.

Last year wasn't bad either. We did have to use fast pass for the big rides, but the waits weren't that bad. We spent the sat before christmas at MK again but it wasn't bad at all. Not like I remembered it being in 2001. We did the last MVMCP and didn't find it too crowded.
