Oh, I hope you won't be disappointed. I've been to Texas Roadhouse and, to me, that's more like the Hoop Dee Doo with regards to butter.

The butter at Citricos is not whipped. It is served European style--a slab--with a sprinkling of sea salt on top. The sea salt is what is infused with the citrus. It's very good.
I got a salad there and it was very tiny. Again, this is not like regular restaurant where you're going to get a bowl or a large plate of salad. It's definitely an appetizer where you get a few bites.
As for the kids stuff--my DD ordered off the adult menu and my son got the pasta. We never even saw the fried cheese so I have no idea what it is like. The kids "Dog Bones" are to die for though. Cute and delicious.
Everything here is done kind of elegantly so I'm just not sure how the fried cheese will be.
