What is done for the kids if they were to have an accident at night? Are the mattresses on the couch and pull down bed protected? I assume the steward will change the sheets if requested in the morning? I could probably talk my 4 year old into pull ups or something by my 6 year old would never go for that and if she is REALLY tired, she has been known to have an occasional accident.
Also, from pictures it looks like the showers have a removeable showerhead thingy that can be used to rinse the kids hair while in the tub, is this the case?
Last question..I've heard mention of board games in some areas of the ship. Is there any and what ones? Is there a way to use them in your room? Thanks!

That is avery good question about the matress and "accidents" and I am sure that with all the children DCL has that there is a way to deal with it but I can't say I have seen it come up here before. If no one offers any other suggestion I would advise you to talk to your room attendant upon arrival and alert him/her to the possibility so they can take precautions.

If by removable shower head you mean hand held option I do believe that that is the case. If not, I am sure someone will correct me.

If you are on the Magic I know there was a very limited selections of games in the library on the Magic. If there is a game that your family is attached to and you really think you will need it you may look for a travel version and bring it with you.

When my DD was still having occasional accidents and we were at WDW, I went to Target and bought a plastic mattress cover. The package is like buying a package of pillowcases so it does not take too much room to pack. When we got to WDW, I opened it up and put it on her bed. I also left room service a note saying that I had put it on the bed in case of an accident. Room service made the beds up and left the plastic mattress cover on the mattress for us. On our last day, I just threw the cover away. My DD did not have any accidents while we were there but I felt good knowing that if she had one it would be an easy fix. She also would have never worn a pull up and I felt this was a great solution for us.

I bought puddle pads at Target and used those. I have one from when she was a baby that is about crib sized, so that one works the best. Other than that I'm not sure what to do. If I'm really worried about it I just put her in a pull up, of course my 5 1/2 has just stopped wearing pull ups regularly at night. She actually stopped on our last trip. I still have a small stash that I use occasionally, and we've had to change the sheets in the middle of the night. My daughter is an extrememly sound sleeper does not wake up, in fact she sleeps right through it and unless we happen to check on her she won't wake up till morning and sleep all night wet.

Can't believe with all the kids on board that they don't protect the matresses. I was not wanting to have to worry about bringing anything and having to remake the bed the first night. My 6 year old hasn't worn anything resembling a diaper at night since she was 3 and my 4 year old is better potty trained at night than during the day! I really hate to revert back to anything close to a diaper as she only had a couple of accidents the first week we tried her at night and she hasn't had a problem since (several months, almost a year). Problem is that I know with the change in routine, one of them will surprise me. Guess I'll have to bring something for under the sheets.

I think they have rubber protective sheets available
Call the Cruise line and request this

You can check a fabric store to see if they have water absorbent material and slip it under the sheets. This is what we are planning to do. I was also thinking of asking the room steward to leave an extra set of sheets just in case we need them at 2am. I would love to hear from anyone else that has had this happen.

I used Incontinent Pads, that way if DD has an accident, you just throw it away & use a new one. Usually the bedding doesn't get wet. You can find them by the adult diapers.
