Paris is such a beautiful girl. Is the little one Blanket?

Just beautiful I bet their daddy is smiling down on them. Thank you for sharing.

I don't find it touching at all. I wouldn't of even let them attend the public memorial, that is just me. I bet this family is looking at these kids as cash cows now, nothing surprises me with them. I hate to be nasty on the day of someones memorial but I just have a radicaly different view of this and can't keep it to myself.

I have to disagree. My kids would have had an opinion on whether or not they wanted to attend, at that age.

With only the daughter having spoken at the service, it leads me to believe she wanted to. If each child spoke, I might have a different opinion of this... I dont know.

The whole thing is just sad. It makes me sad those kids might not ever have anyone truly, unconditionally love them - just like their father had to go through.

Sad.

I agree with CathrynRose. I feel so bad for the kids. :sad1:

I also think it was the kids choice to attend and definately Paris' choice to speak. OMG it brought me to tears hearing her - it brings back the emotions of my BIL's funeral especially since my neice is the same age as Paris. It breaks my heart to see the kids missing their daddy so much. He seemed like he was a really good father to those kids and I can only imagine how hard this is going to be for them.

I think it is a beautiful photo of a loving sister comforting her little brother....I find the photo to be very touching. My prayers go out to all of his children.

I think the photo is beautiful. Paris really did love her dad, and she expressed it very well. Same as Bindi, Steve Irwins daughter, she spoke at her dads funeral, and it was very touching.

You know I am not sure how functional of a father you can be when you are taking 48k worth or prescription drugs a month. I was talking to a friend that used to work for CPS and she said no matter how badly abused the children were it didn't matter every single one of them thought the social worker that removed them from the home was the devil.

I am not saying it wasn't paris's choice to speak. I would of just shielded them from a public memorial like that. IT's not like they wouldn't have a chance to grieve or speak in front of their family in private.

Some people don't do funerals or memorial services at all. We have always attended. I took DD when she was 3 and our neighbor's dad died. Neither of us knew him, DH had met him but we went to support the family in their grief.

I didn't attend my mom's mom's funeral at about age 12. I really regret that. I think kids should have a choice as death is a fact of life and I was glad to see these kids attend and Paris will most likely not regret speaking.

The photo is beautiful. Very touching. I don't see the kids as "cash cows" but you are intitled to your opinion. Maybe I just can't go there...placing myself in that position, I'd be there for my nieces and nephews without a doubt. Period. I thought Janet looked very loving with the children as did Latoya (if that is, indeed, her under the hat).

They seem like a very close family and always have to me.

That's what I thought to. It's a very sweet pic.

Exactly. No matter what anyone thinks of Michael Jackson (and I'm one of those who is "not a fan"), that really sums up that picture. Very touching.

I absolutely think they should have been at the service. He was their father, and he was who he was. Can't deny either one.

I didn't watch any of the service, except for the clip of Paris speaking. Oh boy...:(. She's precious!

I do agree with Monique about children loving their abusive parents. Whether or not that relates to this situation or not, I don't know. But she's a sweetheart.

It is a beautiful pictures of his children. May god help them through this and the pain that is sure to follow.
They needed to be there so they could see how much there was loved by so many.

That is a very sweet picture. Most children will always have a different view of their parents and not judge them for the wrong that they may have done in their lives. They will love them unconditionally. (yes there are exceptions to this). I think they attended bc they wanted to. They got to see all the people who loved their father and the lasting effect he had on the lives of those who really knew him.

Paris' remarks were about the most heart breaking thing I've ever seen.

In my opinion, the one thing Michael did right was protect his children from the media. He didn't want them photographed, never mind on international tv. No matter what the child wanted, I think Michael's well known views should have been followed.
