What A Romantic Guy!

I met a guy on Eharmony back in September. Due to weather (!!!), schedules and distance, we've only been on 2 dates. We talk on the phone and e-mail constantly, but we just can't seem to make it to a 3rd date (it was supposed to be Sunday, need I say more???)

I got an e-mail from him this morning. Guess what it was??? A snide comment about Dick Cheney. *sigh* I don't know if I should be offended or just accept the fact that it's a guy thing.

Gentlemen -- remember, sending flowers or a card will not kill you.

I sent him an e-card. Let's see what happens. I can always go back to sobbing and waiting for the 1/2 price chocolate sale tomorrow.

Well, my boyfriend of 9 years (live together) hasn't said one word and I know he doesn't even know that today is V-day.

Hey, I haven't said anything to DW yet either...but there are flowers on their way to her work, and I've got a present at home for her from the Disney store (ok, not terribly romantic, but it does have to do with the "Disney Kiss". You never know when "us guys" will surprise you

I put my original post back. At first I thought I sounded pathetic, but then I realized that your post would make no sense, so I went back to pathetic (I"m thoughtful that way).

I'm sure someone will make me feel MUCH BETTER by saying "Maybe he's just not that into you." Sure, screw with my fragile ego this day.

Since you've only been out a couple of times, maybe he thought it might be too forward to do something romantic for Valentine's? If you've just started dating someone around Valentine's Day, it can be awkward trying to figure out what to do for that person.....

It's OK Fergie...I'm still hoping to at least get a phone call. I went out with this guy a couple times & we've talked on the phone. Apparently ~ He's just not that into me either? Or maybe he's completely oblivious to the fact that today is valentines day?

He could just be clueless. I had to tell two guys I work with to make sure they get their girls something today. One is engaged, the other has been dating his girlfriend for almost a year. They just don't realize it on their own...

My DH hasn't gottten me anything, but we need new bedroom furniture - so I asked him to save his money...

Don't worry - I think your guy is probably just clueless - hang in there!

I don't think that him not getting you anything for valentine's day means he's just not that into you at all. He might not even know it's valentine's day he is a guy after all. This holiday is downright awkward when you just started dating someone. For girls and guys both. He probably does care about you, guys just don't care about the holiday as much as girls.

And to tell you the truth, DH tends to give me nicer presents for every holiday when he waits til the last minute. He went shopping last night, and gave me a teriffic gift this morning.
