This has to be the month from hell!! As I already posted in an earlier thread, two weeks ago we had to take our DD's labrador dogs to another home, which was very traumatic for us as a family!
Then on Tuesday my eldest DD was taken into hospital with suspected appendicitis. However after running several test the consultant does not think that is what is causing the pain. So after three days of tests the doctors are really no nearer figuring out what is going on. We were told yesterday that our DD has to stay in the hospital to be monitored until either the pain goes away or things start to get worse. Apparently appendicitis can sometimes present in different ways, so even though the blood work doesn't indicate that this is the cause, it can't be ruled out.
Meanwhile I'm staying OP and don't know how, because the food at the hospital is not the healthiest, and most of it is gone by 3.30 in the afternoon. Right now I just want to have some hot food to eat. I am sick of the sight of sandwiches!!
Thanks everyone for your good wishes and prayers. Our DD is now home from the hospital. What an ordeal!! She was in so much pain on Friday and Saturday, and then on Sunday she woke up and said that she was better and went off to the play room
Anyway it looks like she had something called Mesenteric Adenitis (sp?) Which is inflammation of the Mesenteric Lymph nodes. Apparently the pain is very similar to appendicitis and it can clear up as quickly as it starts. It was great news to hear that she didn't have to have surgery, and everything seems to be pretty much back to normal.
