Thanks to everyone who helped make this trip so memorable. I thought I would just share a few highlights!

First of all, we were able to buy our DVC points for $8 per point. We came up with some lame hard-luck story and finally someone about to lose their points took us up on it. WHAT LUCK! We got an OKW studio which was fantastic. The six of us were a little cramped, but the sleeping bags in the floor worked out great. We were a little disappointed that we had to take a Non-Smoking room, but Maw-maw always made sure the door was open when she smoked.

Our first day in the park was great, too. We almost didn't get Bobby in with the child ticket, but it worked out OK. He is going on 13 now, but the smoking stunted his growth a little so we got by with it. We almost missed the afternoon parade at MK, but we made it with about 5 minutes to spare. Luckily we found a great curb-side spot in front of some little kids. When we were squeezing through we heard them talking about sitting there for over an hour, so they must have really been tired from a long morning. They should probably learn to sleep in more. Anyway, I dont think their kids were too upset becasue they got to sit on their parents shoulders.

The lines were a little long, but with a little planning they are manageable. You just have to take turns getting in line and then bring the whole gang up with you right before you get to the front. This helps everyone from getting so tired. I cant believe how rude some people can be though when you are trying to get caught up with your party. They could be a little more considerate.

Later we went over to SAB for a little swimming. Remember to walk in with your towels over your arm to hide that you do not have an arm band and everything is OK. Somebody there must have had to leave in a hurry because we found a great table, but it had towels and cups and things on it but no one was around. We just put it all in a neat pile near the edge and started enjoying the sun. Wouldn't you know that someone soon came along and tried to convince us it was their stuff, but they were just jealous we had a great spot. I was really glad we brought along our refillable mugs from our All-Star Sports stay three years ago because we all got really thirsty that afternoon.

Gotta go check my e-bay bid now for some unused park-hoppers for our next visit. I will finish my trip report a little later.

:rotfl: Sicne we are leaving for WDW in four days, I was anxiously starting to read your trip report and actually thought it could be real until I got to the lame hard luck story and said, "Please tell me this person is not for real." LOL! Thanks for the chuckle, but as we all well know, sadly some of these things have been done before. :sad2:

The part about the refillable mugs is what got me . . . what a hoot!! :happytv:

The only thing Joe missed was complaining at the front desk about the view and getting his room changed at someone else's expense!

I saw your family during that trip. Glad you had a good time. Or maybe i saw a large amount of families just like you. Who Knows? :rotfl2:

Exagerated; but just a little. How about the people that rent the scooters, shoot to the front of the line, and then when they get off say, "okay, it's your turn to ride for a while." (That wasn't you too, was it?) :rotfl:

p.s. There's an idea for a new thread; the most rude things you've seen at the park:

Added excurpt:

Seeing Grandma in a wheel chair going on a ride. Later that day......Seeing her push her grandchild in the wheelchair! popcorn::

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Love it! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I, too, checked in for an actual trip report and then got hung up on the "hard luck story" - I had to re-read that sentence 3-4 times and tought "can this be for real???"

Thanks for a good chuckle!

LOL I got as far as:
We came up with some lame hard-luck story and finally someone about to lose their points took us up on it.

...and almost stopped reading! Glad I didn't! :rotfl2:
