Thanks to everyone who helped make this trip so memorable. I thought I would just share a few highlights!
First of all, we were able to buy our DVC points for $8 per point. We came up with some lame hard-luck story and finally someone about to lose their points took us up on it. WHAT LUCK! We got an OKW studio which was fantastic. The six of us were a little cramped, but the sleeping bags in the floor worked out great. We were a little disappointed that we had to take a Non-Smoking room, but Maw-maw always made sure the door was open when she smoked.
Our first day in the park was great, too. We almost didn't get Bobby in with the child ticket, but it worked out OK. He is going on 13 now, but the smoking stunted his growth a little so we got by with it. We almost missed the afternoon parade at MK, but we made it with about 5 minutes to spare. Luckily we found a great curb-side spot in front of some little kids. When we were squeezing through we heard them talking about sitting there for over an hour, so they must have really been tired from a long morning. They should probably learn to sleep in more. Anyway, I dont think their kids were too upset becasue they got to sit on their parents shoulders.
The lines were a little long, but with a little planning they are manageable. You just have to take turns getting in line and then bring the whole gang up with you right before you get to the front. This helps everyone from getting so tired. I cant believe how rude some people can be though when you are trying to get caught up with your party. They could be a little more considerate.
Later we went over to SAB for a little swimming. Remember to walk in with your towels over your arm to hide that you do not have an arm band and everything is OK. Somebody there must have had to leave in a hurry because we found a great table, but it had towels and cups and things on it but no one was around. We just put it all in a neat pile near the edge and started enjoying the sun. Wouldn't you know that someone soon came along and tried to convince us it was their stuff, but they were just jealous we had a great spot. I was really glad we brought along our refillable mugs from our All-Star Sports stay three years ago because we all got really thirsty that afternoon.
Gotta go check my e-bay bid now for some unused park-hoppers for our next visit. I will finish my trip report a little later.
