Okay.. So I was "supposed" to be getting some packing done to head for the lake, but after reading the coupon/samples threads last night - and briefly this morning - I decided to do a little investigating on my own..

I know I didn't even scratch the surface of what's available out there, but I did manage to get four of the Folgers coupons I was looking for; two OTC medications I will be needing soon; and a number of things I will need for baking - if they go on sale, and if they end up being cheaper than Aldi's..

I got 15 cereal coupons that DD and her family can use and some assorted samples of food/cleaning products for myself..

It looks like I'm going to have to come up with some sort of system (notebook or whatever) to keep track of what sites I have joined; which ones I feel are the best; and a running list of the sale cycles at the two stores where I shop..

Couldn't get the Breathe Right Strips coupons to print :( - and didn't find any
Boost coupons yet..

I certainly won't be turning into an "Extreme Hoarder" - LOL - but will definitely purchase a reasonable amount of what I can use quickly - or freeze for 2 or 3 months down the road..

When I finally figure out what I'm actually doing - and keep track of where I'm getting what - I'll be more than happy to share that news here with anyone who is interested.. That's what we're here for - to help each other out - doesn't matter "who" does the work or "'who" posts the info.. What does matter is sharing - "paying it forward" so to speak..:goodvibes

I never realized just how much there is out there - especially when you get into these bigger sites.. I'm aware that I can't use the coupons at Aldi's (where I do purchase quite a bit of stuff) now I'm just hoping our major grocery chains won't have any issues with coupons printed off the internet.. That would be quite the bummer..

Still wondering why the expiration dates are so short now though.. Certainly not like the "good old days".. Anyone know the answer to that?

I'm just hoping I don't end up sitting here at my computer until the wee hours of the night looking for more coupon sites and more free samples.. I do have to pack at some point in time.. This was just a lot more fun today..;)

Yes, quite a few of the expiration dates are on the short side. Sometimes the P&G coupons have long expiration dates - like a year.

For the most part, the internet coupons roll from month to month. So, if you printed coupons today, you should be able to go back a month from now and print them again.

There is a site called CouponTom that helps you locate specific coupons. For example type in Colgate and it will show you what coupon inserts have a Colgate coupon. The AY abbreviation on his site stands for All You magazine available at Walmart or several couponing sites have a link to puchase a subscription for All You.

:( - and didn't find any Boost coupons yet..

Call the number on the Boost package ~ they'll send you a coupon every month. But, you need to call each month to request it. Periodically, they are available on the web page as well.

Good luck on your quest!

Thank you both - very much..:goodvibes Just those three items - Folgers; Breathe Right Strips; and the Boost - are major budget busters.. The Folgers I bought 2 weeks ago - with a coupon - was $7.50! The Breathe Right Strips? $13.89 two days ago (a one month supply).. Boost? When you have to drink it daily (dr. prefers a minimum of 6 per day), you might as well be making a car payment!!

It's crazy how much the cost of things have increased..:sad2:

I really, really feel bad for families with small children who are trying to clothe and feed them - even those with both parents working.. I can't even imagine how difficult it is..

Thank goodness for the info shared here on the BB.. I imagine it's helping quite a few families in their struggles to make ends meet..:goodvibes
