What a drink!

Do you ever make yourself a fancy drink at home for no reason? I did tonight, because you know, it's Tuesday.
I made hot apple cider with my mulling spices from Williams Sonoma. Then I spiked it with Tuaco, topped it with whipped cream, and to make it extra fancy, a little sprinkle of cinnamon. It was a sight to behold. And oh, the taste. My grouchy mood melted away and I feel all loose and relaxed. I don't do this all the time, but sometimes, a girl just needs it.

Occasionally, I will make a real mojito... complete with fresh spearmint muddled by hand!

But mostly, the fanciest it gets in this house is a glass of Shiraz or Pinot Noir.

Mmmmmmmm. That sounds really good. I'm sure that I would be nice and relaxed after one of those too. A second would probably turn me into jello and I would bet that the third and forth would give me visual proof that pigs could fly. My preference though is a nice shot of scotch before dinner. It helps to take care of the days stresses.
