What a difference!!!!!!!

I went to our local thomson travel agents yesterday to price up 5 nights in New York for our silver wedding anniversary next June. To fly from Heathrow with BA it is approx £600 each to fly from Birmingham with continental staying at the same hotel just over £3000 each I can't believe the difference in price. The poor girl in the travel agents said there must be a problem with her computer but i tried it myself when i got home and it came up the same price.

I found it similar when I was booking NY. It was about £500-700 more to fly out of Gatwick rather then Heathrow baring in mind both are major airports. I think its because most flights for NY go out of Heathrow to JFK

TBH I wish I booked it separately now as the we ended up paying slightly more then agreed as the hotel we chose didn't have any rooms & I could have got it cheaper.
