what a difference 4 days make

On Monday of this week I was lookinga t holidays, NO intension of going to WDW next year, was acually looking for Turkey.

At about 4 pm got hubby to go get some brouchures for Turkey and said "while your there pick up Florida, no harm looking to get and idea of prices and maybe be able to afford it in a few years"gig:

Well by 10pm we were trying to get his ex wife before she set off to Spain to say we were "thinking" of Florida by this stage and may book it before she comes back next week.

Tuesday morning called my normal Travel agent and asked if they could match Internet price, £670 cheaper than their price. She phoned back to say yes they could even though 2 other Travel Agents said no. When she said there was also and offer of FREE DDP, well that made up my mind, booked it and hour later.

I have been before twice and looking through forums and website have realsied how much more to see. There was not as much info about when I went before and I have now caught up in the Disney bug.

So in 4 days....
looked at Turkey....booked WDW
Paid low deposit....got rest from bank today to pay more so thats £1k paid but I am now broke.
Got kids new money box each and have started saving for them.
Just booked Insurance 15 minutes ago.

So roll on 24th August....only problem now is what am I going to do for the next 11 months?gig: gig:

Anyone else done it on spare of the moment?????

gosh deja vu !! we were also going to look at turkey again before dh saw the dining plan advertised and today we booked for next september

We went to Turkey in August for 7 Days HB, Cost us £1600 for 2 A and 1 C and we ended up spending £1200, mostley on drinks and other meals. It was such a waste of money and when we looked atTurkey for next year in august for 2A and 4 C it was much better value to go to WDW and much more fun lol

Us to. We were pricing up for San Francisco and Hawaii. Thought that we would not want to go back to Florida as we are going at christmas. With what it would cost us to go there we got Florida for 3 weeks at POFQ , ticket, dining plan and spending money.

In 2004 my DP and I went in to look at cheap holidays. We saw a poster for Disney, decided on going, and then the next day the in laws decided they wanted to come too!

We always intend to go elsewhere - there's a big old world out there and I've got the brochures to prove it! Then we remember what a fab time we had on the previous WDW trip, how much of Florida there is yet to see and how excited the kids will be when we tell them! So, before we know where we are, it's all booked, I'm getting a new copy of the Unofficial Guide and there's a countdown ticker in my sig...
