I figured out AP - Annual pass but whats a DDE card? I'm just a rookie trying to learn the lingo. Been and owner now for 6 hours.

Disney Dining Experience card.It saves you 20% off food and drink including alcohol at alot of restaurants at Disney.AP holders get the card for 50.00,i think it maybe going up to 60.00.It is for a year.I got mine last year and it actually is good for about 14 months.

Just wanted to add this in for you ,Brownie. You are eligible if you are an AP holder (or Florida resident) it just went up from $50 to $60. If you require a 2nd card (spouse only) that used to be free, now it's $25. It is good for parties of up to 10 people (all on the same bill) for lots of restaurants, and as already metioned includes adult beverages. FYI, AP's are good 1 year from when you activate them and DDE is good from when you order it.

May I ask where you heard about the price increase? I can't find anything online.

Thanks!

I actually heard about it on these boards somewhere 1st.
Then I got my renewal form in the mail yesterday and it did have the increased prices.

I don't mind the $10 increase, but to charge an additional $25 for a second card is ridiculous.

The passholders' website lists the new price and also the $25 charge for the second card, though you have to do a bit of digging to discover that piece of info. I think it was listed on the online application form rather than with the rest of the DDE info.

Thanks for the confirmation! Looks like we'll be getting rid of the second card.

We are getting DDE (AP holders), is the $25 additional card for your spouse to use in case you are dining seperatley?

Yup, that's what it's for. Used to be free, but now it's $25. I personally don't need a 2nd card but I guess I can see where a family would need one if say 1 parent is taking when child somewhere and the other parent is taking the other chilld. Then I guess it would make sense.

We won't be paying for the second card either. Since DH travels more for work (and occasionally to Orlando) I guess we'll get it in his name.

I wonder if we realize we should have paid for the second card down the road, if we can still add it for $25?
