What’s the best time for Harry Potter lunch

This our first visit to Universal with my 11 year old Harry Potter fanatic! We are staying at the Royal Pacific this Monday 2/5/18. Crowd level 3. We have EE to IOA. We definitely want to have lunch at either 3 Broomsticks or Leaky Cauldron. What time would you suggest we arrive for lunch? We don’t want to burn lots of time waiting in line. I was thinking 11:30 at 3 broomsticks, since we will probably still be in IOA, but really have no idea what the crowd level is like at either and don’t want to miss the experience!

They are not sit down restaurants, so you won't have any issue.

Breakfast is served there up to 11:00
Lunch menu begins at 10:30

I go around 10:45 and do an early lunch if i started the day early with EE

The place is not crowded at all the times I went then
Not saying it will always be low crowds but has worked for me

I’m able to see a lot of the decor inside with less peeps in there
Easier for me to take pictures inside without having a lot of peeps in them

If the crowd level is a 3 the day you go, would think 11:30 a good time to eat

We did dinner at the 3 Broomsticks at peak time and it was crowded but still had no issues with getting a table or our food. I feel 11:30 is a perfect time to eat. My kids are typically hungry by 11am if we get to the park at opening.

The Three Broomsticks and Leaky Cauldron are both quick services places. At 3B you walk up to a window and order and get your food there. At LC you order at the window and they bring it to you. Both are set up to handle crowds and even where the lines were long to order, we got through quickly. At LC, try the orange drink with brown sugar and cinnamon on teh rim...so good! And, of course, BUTTTERBEER!

They brought us our food for dinner at the 3Broomsticks as well. Maybe it's a difference between lunch and dinner? We also got the group platter to share so maybe they bring that to you.

Yup, we've had the great feast brought to us as well.

Interesting. We’ve always been sent to the line toneait for our food, then we go to the person that takes us to a table.




But yes the “feast that people order too much of and leave half on the table” is brought to you.

We had lunch at 3 broomsticks at 11am a couple of weeks ago and it wasn’t busy at all. The food was great and the atmosphere was amazing! I would definitely do it again! Of note, my daughters “kids meal” fish and chips was exactly the same size as my grown up meal.

That was our experience too. But we also went at 7:00 at night and it seems like dinner isn't really their busy time.

yeah they have to bring you the great feast. I believe the only thing you carry yourself for the great feast is the salad.
