Well from what everyone is saying here.. it sounds like it used to be a solid choice and now it’s a shell of what it used to be and it’s hit or miss at best
No. It was a coconut bread. Not individual rolls. Are they still serving the King's Hawaiian rolls at the start? That's the one thing I am not a fan of from my recent visits. Love the rolls... but I can get them at my local grocery store. Much preferred what they serving previously.
It’s now overly salted cheesy rolls and rolls with bacon on them. We loved the coconut bread and historically asked for seconds.No. It was a coconut bread. Not individual rolls.
When were you there last? I was there May 16th and it definitely was not rolls with bacon. Here is a picture. It’s now overly salted cheesy rolls and rolls with bacon on them. We loved the coconut bread and historically asked for seconds.
We ate a lot of salad, potstickers and noodles (cold/lukewarm). Everything else was a miss (lukewarm shrimp; we used to love the hot skewers). The steak was slathered in some salty BBQ/teriyaki sauce (can’t remember because we spit it out) so basically inedible and tough (great way to discourage asking for more.) Dessert was good but not great.
It was our top pick historically for the 5 years pre pandemic. Now no one wants to waste time. Sebastian’s Bistro seems comparable.
We thought it was good. We loved the whole meal. I’m not going to lie and say it was haute cuisine because it isn’t. But it was enjoyable. I like my meat well done so that may color my perception a bit in that department; if you like your beef bloody than you won’t enjoy that portion of the meal. I really love the noodles and chicken wings the most but everything was good. I don’t eat crustaceans so can’t comment on the shrimp but my mother said it was good. And butter...hhhhoooorrrraaayyyy!!!
How'd it taste?
That’s awesome that they’ve brought the bread back. I was there Nov 2021. We skipped it for our Mar/Apr 2022 trip. If they’d start serving on skewers again then I think its worth a trip. When were you there last? I was there May 16th and it definitely was not rolls with bacon. Here is a picture.

Completely agree! I paid over $350 for us to basically eat Pot Stickers, Noodles, and Wings. Our Narcoosees, Steakhouse 71, and (believe it or not) Crystal Palace dinners were all much betterWas there in April. Family favorite, we go every trip. Bread... great. First course with wings, noodles, dumplings.....awesome. Bread pudding.... amazing. Notice I left a course out.
Steak tough and dry. Chicken dry with gross chimichurri. Shrimp meely and flavorless. Tough to justify the price at this point.
