What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Chicken and buttered noodles that we were supposed to make and have last night but got lazy and made popcorn chicken and fries instead lol!

Tonight was to be ham and scalloped potatoes. Unfortunately the ham my parents purchased for tonight’s dinner was so terribly infused with salt and excessively fatty that we threw it away. Chicken nuggets is what ended up being for dinner.

Made an open faced tuna salad on toast with butter leaf and grape tomatoes. Drank a mini Coke Zero with it.

Meatlaoaf, salad and still thinking about the rest.

So tired.....just took the ornaments off the tree, boxed them or wrapped them. Took 2 hours.
Now to get about 15 boxes and assorted other things back to storage

I asked my sons what they wanted and their vote is for beef stew. I have a recipe that includes butternut squash and bakes in the oven. Super easy and I'm making fresh bread in the bread machine to go with it.

I’m taking down Christmas today. I’m just ready to move on from the decorations. No idea for dinner. Maybe something simple..might check the outside freezer.

Carne asada fries... loaded...makes three meals and could be free if I get the opportunity to spin the wheel at the last casino Monday night football promotions ....way too late to eat at the promotion so I bring it home.... well... okay..a few hot fries

Bought a small smoked spiral ham around Christmas and divided it up into individual portions.
Came in handy for tonight’s meal: an open faced grilled ham, Gruyere cheese and tomato sandwich and a bowl of Lipton’s noodle soup with julienned carrots, string beans and fresh parsley added. Blueberries with crème fraiche for dessert.

Can’t believe it’s almost New Year’s Eve; time really goes fast.

hadnt planned on it but i'm roasting a turkey tomorrow. went to Costco to get my glasses and when I passed through the meat department they had a cooler with some butterball turkeys-priced at .99 cents per pound with an additional $5 off per bird grabbed the largest one-15#. I did'nt end up with much in the way of leftovers at Thanksgiving so we will nosh on it tomorrow night and then freeze a bunch.

That's more effort than I put into my small trees. I just cover them with a trash bag & store them decorated.

We're going to my niece's house for a NYE party. We're all bringing appetizers. Naturally, I don't know what I'm contributing yet. I'm considering ordering wings or a deli platter, but I'm open to any quick & easy appetizer ideas that any of you may have.

I'm not sure, if we're going to be here or on the road NYD, so I don't currently have a plan.

We go to my sister-in-law's house. We play boardgames all night and she makes a bunch of apps. I always bring teriyaki chicken wings. It's a very fun tradition that we have done since her kids were little (all in their 30s now).
