It was beautiful today. Picked up my dad and we took a ride to pick up some plants (24 tomato plants. I have an issue!) for the garden. Got home planted 5 kinds of potatoes and peas. Then did a bunch of yard work. Lettuce will go in tomorrow. If the long range forecast looks good I’ll start planting other plants next weekend. I finally sat down and I was hot and tired. I didn’t want to cook and felt hot more than hungry so I had a frosty from Wendy’s for dinner.
Just got home from dropping off the little chicken nugget. Poured myself a healthy glass of Chardonnay and found a Rao’s cheese pizza in the freezer. Voila! Dinner is served.
Busy weekend hanging out with former Manhattan neighbors in my old area.
Took in a fantastic play at Lincoln Center (Go see “Colin “ if the time allows; it’s expected to open on Bway) and ate an early dinner at the Grand Tier, a “must” when taking in the arts in the area. Haven’t been here in years and it was a nice return. Shared a cold lobster and oyster plate with gin tonics, then followed by bites of ricotta flan and salmon. Lovely.
Today, we’ll meet again but in my new stomping grounds (da Bronx) for a bit of equality, lol.
Flying to Anaheim today.....dinner is a mystery until we get settled into our Grand Californian villa and get the groceries delivered. Probably something fast.
Went out for dinner to one of our favorite Italian places. DH had lobster, shrimp and scallop diavolo. I had haddock st. Germain. This is the only restaurant I know of that cooks it this way (so good) I was craving pasta so that was my side.
Forgot to add the coconut pineapple margarita!

We had family lunch with my sister’s family and my parents. We ordered out for Italian because neither of us felt like cooking. I had shrimp Messina- sautéed shrimp, spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, black olives, roasted red peppers and ziti in a garlic sauce.
Grilled chicken, rice pilaf, and roasted asparagus.
The farm by my work put up their asparagus coming soon sign! Peas and lettuce are looking good. I should have lettuce soon. Peas will need a few weeks. I also planted 5 kinds of potatoes yesterday. I can’t wait for fresh veggies!
Having those Birds Eye skillet dinners. Bought two different kind and will make both.
I'm having Sweet and Sour Chicken and Husband is having 3 Cheese Chicken.
Visited the Bronx Botanical Garden with friends today. Such a nice way to welcome spring!
We grabbed some provisions from Arthur Avenue, the Bronx’s answer to Manhattan’s Little Italy, on our way to the garden and picnicked there. There was 3 of us and we each bought a different cold hero and had them split into thirds so we could readily share. Also some espresso soda and grapefruit sparkling water. Finally, an Italian cookie assortment from a nearby bakery.
The rain held off until late afternoon so it’s good we had an early start to the day.
Ended up with Real Good General Tso's chicken last night.
I'm limited on my dinners. 2 of my meals were out of stock.....so I'm short on food.
We do have extra eggs and a couple bags of salad.
We'll be at California Adventure today, so we'll see what lunch is....and how tired I am when we get back
