I was at the mall about a week ago and as I was walking back to my Jeep, I saw two people (mom and daugher?) standing by my car. The little girl was reaching up toward my minnie ears as I rounded the back of the Jeep. Her mom looked over and started turning fifteen shades of red....then she said that her daughter was just looking at the minnie ears. I started laughing and said I understood...then I asked if she'd like me to take 'em off so her daughter could get a better look. She said that they needed to go... Hmmm....I'm sure they wouldn't have actually taken my minnie ears.... nobody would do that....would they? Sorry...my sarcasm gene must be kicking in.

When we first bought my Subaru Forestter I was a little upset that it had in windshield antennas. Then DH came up with the great idea to buy those little fake cell phone antennas they sell at Radio Shack. He put one in each of the back windows and we proudly display our toppers inside the car and change them for the seasons.

When not in the car he made a large stand for all our toppers that is in the family room with many other Disney things

After reading this I guess I am not alone. Thanks for all the sympathy!! But.....I have good news! My dh's co-worker is going on the Wonder in a couple of weeks so I am covered. I am so excited now! I bought several originally for this reason but ended up passing them around to family members. I am glad I posted because now I am going to check around for different ones plus the antenna topper holder. That sounds really cool!

CoMickey, my dd just bought a house in Highlands Ranch. We are very close to it. Small world! Thanks for the offer!

The ones stolen in Orlando is surprising to me. They are so plentiful there PLUS they cost next to nothing. Crazy world!

Great! Glad that you have a source for your lost Mickey! I 'wonder' if the co-worker will be on the Wonder when we are? June 13th? I hope your dd enjoys living in HH we have and we have been here for 5 years. A wonderful community to raise a family.

I know how you feel. My 16 year old had a pink Mickey (or maybe I should say Minnie) Princess antenna bopper on her car. It's been there for months. She just got ready to leave for swim practice a few minutes ago and realized that someone had stolen it off of her car...probably in the school parking lot. She is so mad! Hopefully they will still be selling them when we go to WDW before our cruise in a few weeks. I told her that she might want to stock up and buy a couple of them while she's there. I'll never understand how people can steal things from other people. I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I did that!

I would never even consider stealing something from others. What kind of people do that? I am almost positive it was at a WalMart and it was during school hours. It had to be an adult.

Sandy we just moved into the Columbine Knolls area last fall. We really like it here. The kids have lots of neighborhood kids to play with. Its great!

I had my mike one for several years till it disappeared in the parking lot one day. The haunted mansion one with the bat wings didn't last a month. I am waiting another week to put out the red white and blue mickey for memorial day.

Sometimes they DO fly off. I have had a couple that came off while I was driving. I finally got one that sticks better,(tighter?) and it has lasted.

Jiminy (Mom) - It's the WHALE pool, not the dolphin. Atleast you can get a suply of captain mickeys on the next 2 cruises you are taking so if it happens again they can multiply.

No stealing my Captain Mickey off my car, I am duck taping it to the antenna.

This thread has the most people from Denver that I have ever seen on the DIS board, I guess there really is more Colorado people out there on the DIS.

I would like to locate a purple hawaiian one, any suggestions on where I can get one? Purple is my favorite color and I would like to duct tape this one somewhere else on my car if I could find one.

LOL! Yes I think we need both an Mickey Attenna theaf watch...similar to neighborhood watch here in Denver and most definatly a withdrawal support group! I will need that after my trip end in June!

Pooh_Friend#1~I knew what pool your mom was talking about...all of my friends call it by any fish name except for Whale! I was surprised to see all of the Colorado people, especially Denver come out of the 'wood work'. So now I'll keep a look out for the car with the Captian Mickey and honk and wave. My car has an attenna in the window so I can't put a Mickey on although I was given one from a friend. I keep it in my office...sounds like they are safer that way anyway!

CoMickey - I think your attenna topper is safer in your office, unless you have thieves like my office does...staplers and hole punches disappear quick around here.

I think we need to start a DCL Withdrawal support. I haven't been on DCL for 2 years so the withdrawal only gets worse. Wow we have Denver, Parker, Highlands Ranch, and Littleton. Anyone else? I am excited that there are more people representing CO here on these boards!!!

Still looking for someone who knows where I can get a purple hawaiian anttenna toppers....any takers?

I have had the same problem as many of you ... I seem to get every topper I put on my antenna stolen in a matter of days.

It has now become a joke in my family and my aunts just came back from Disney World with a whole bag of toppers for me .. about 20 of them ... so that I have some more ;-) but I know they are only destined to get stolen too ;-) at least I can enjoy them for a few days ;-)

I have now decided to "collect" antenna toppers. Can't believe I didn't have a spare. I promise if I see all of you Colorado people with your Capt Mickey that I won't steal it. But promise me the same. I will be getting a replacement in a couple of weeks. Vickey, the one getting it for me will be on the Wonder 10 days from yesterday. Is that your cruise?? Now, my dd, PoohFriend#1, look out. I didn't make that same promise to you.

We are 23 days away from our cruise so it's not the same one as the person getting your Captain Mickey. Darn!
