We've switched to the Dolphin....???

We decided to use some of our starpoints and stay at the Dolphin for 5 of our nights at Disney. I do have a couple of questions...

My DH has meds that need to be refrigerated. Do they charge for refrigerators for medical reasons? I see the fee is normally $12/day. Just curious, Disney comps the refrigerators at the values for this reason.

I'm not sure if we can keep his meds in a cooler, or if that would be too cold. Is there someplace to get ice if we have a cooler?

DS and DD really wanted to stay at the Dolphin again, we just got a good rate on a rental car, so decided this was the time to do it..... and use those pts.

Okay I just noticed on another site that for $20 (per stay) I can use the mini-bar for personal use. Looks like that's what we'll do. Do they empty the mini-bar when you use it? Just curious how that works.

Just have them clean out the mini-bar for $20. You can then put medication, plus milk, juice, soda, etc., in there. It's a pretty good size fridge.

Please don't do that! They will bring you a fridge for any medical reason (I always get one since DS has food allergies), no charge. The minibar is tiny, and I don't know how cold it gets. The fridge they bring you will get super cold (it's adjustable). Don't worry about explaining your specific reason, just let them know you need this for a medical reason. I don't think you can adjust the minibar temp, so the fridge is safer.
