Hello All,

So actually we've been back a week but I've been so busy with my birthday and getting back into work I haven't had chance to update! Indeed I only went through my photos last night!

Well all I can say is just how sad I am feeling right now! I honestly didn't think it would be THAT amazing. It was both mine and my boyfriends first time to 'the world' and it was by far the best holiday I have ever had.

I will ensure I get a TR done over the weekend, and share a few of pictures. But I just wanted to say Thank you to everyone who answered my many questions, you invaluable help & advice really helped us out there! We sort of knew what to expect, and utilsed certain services (esp. the FP service!). We did everything we wanted to do including Discovery Cove, Seaworld, the Premium Outlets & Universal ontop of all 4 Disney parks in 8 days (It was pretty jam packed!)

I am so sad to be back here in the UK where no one say's hello to me, or tells me to have a magical day! We'd love to go back again but it won't be for a few years, we've other places to tick off our bucket list yet. We think we'll go back again once we've got our own children. If money wasn't a factor or annual leave allowance I would be back there in a heart beat!

We're heading to Vegas for 4 nights in November, and I can't help but wonder if we could tie in just a couple of nights at WDW beforehand..... :scratchin:scratchin:scratchin

No matter how much you plan, nothing can prepare you for how magical it is.
Doing a trip report will help you to re-live your trip. I tend to re-read mine when I really need to.
I know what you mean about noone talking to you in the UK.
Theres been a few days recently where Ive not spoken to anyone expecpt my son or husband.
I mentioned to someone the other day, even when you have problems in WDW they never both you for too long.

you could always go to Disneyland when you go to Vegas, if you could afford it :thumbsup2

The post-WDW blues have got ya! :lmao:

I remember my first time I went to FL, 22 years ago, and I announced to my family that I was going to apply for the job posted in the 7 Eleven window and never go home! The best part is, for most of us, that magic never dies!

Now, 14 or so trips later, I'm still as excited as I was the first time. Instead of being there with my parents, I'm now taking my kids. Just remember, it's never too soon to start planning your next trip, even if you're doing other things in between!!

I'm glad you had such a wonderful time.

I've never been to either place, but DisneyLAND isn't all THAT far from Vegas....

I remembered our first time blues, awful and they don't get better.

After our first trip I was cutting the front lawn a few days later and a couple were walking past, is topped the mower to say hello and they just walked on, must have thought I was a complete fruitcake and it was then it dawned on me I was back in sour old blighty.

I remember going with my boyfriend in 1996, we felt exactly the same, and the next trip was with our two children. Now many trips later, my only regret is not buying into Disney Vacation Club.If only we knew then how important to us it would become!

the Disney blues are bad aren't they?

Each time we go we always say 'right that's it we're going to leave it for a few years and do other things' but within a few weeks of coming home I am planning the next trip. Other holidays just don't do it for us. Its great doing a break somewhere ie we did Vegas 1 1/2 years ago, but its just that 'a break'..We could never ever do something like a beach holiday...that just seems a waste of money ie Barbados etc to sit by a pool on an all inclusive deal...NO WAY! Disney/Florida just has it all for us...

Enjoy Vegas it's a fantastic place..I am sure it wouldn't be that much to tag on a few more nights in Orlando:goodvibes

Have a fab time in Vegas, we were there last August and had an amazing time. If you wanted to go to Disneyland it's only a 4-5hr drive or a short flight, would definitely recommend it.

So glad you had the BEST time!! We were there the same time as you - we arrived back home on Sunday and can't believe at all that we've been home almost a week now  where on earth is time going?

I'm finding that writing a TR really helps with the 'blues' :) I'm loving going through each day again and looking through all the pictures (link in my sig!). I'm also enjoying going through all our Photopass pictures and editing them - can't wait for the CD to arrive!

The next time I go will *hopefully* be in 2015 where I can treat my parents - when my parents go, they plan on squeezing everything in like you guys did! It'll be busy, busy, busy, but I'm so looking forward to it and really hope it pans out!

At least you have Vegas to look forward to - I have always wanted to go there!!

We leave on Monday night, really don't want to go home. Spent 17.5 hours in Hollywood Studios today after getting there at 3.30am to get a fastpass for Ray Park's autograph at Star Wars Weekend and don't regret a second of it. Disney just do everything so amazingly well!

I have been home 2.5 weeks and the post-Disney blues are not getting any better. It was my first time there and it was so amazing - I had to hold back the tears when saying goodbye to the castle. I have since looked into the costs of going back in September and whether I could get a job there!! (Neither of which are realistically possible!).

I we are all feeling better soon! :)

Everyone was so shocked when Jedi Mickey came out dancing at the end, pretty sure he's never done it before and he was in one of the fancy costumes with the moving eyes and mouth lol

We came back from our first trip in November 2012 and I wanted to go back again straight away! I have a long ticker as we have to save up, but just knowing that we WILL be going back keeps me happy.:thumbsup2

I know exactly what you mean about no-one talking to you when you get back! I didn't notice it as much as after our first trip with DD who was just turned one. In WDW everyone, CMs and visitors alike, seemed to strike up conversations with us and with her but when we got home the people at the supermarket checkout looked at me like some kind of loon when I smiled and attempted to chat with them.

I don't know if it's the vacation feeling or just the American attitude but for the most part we've met with so many people who are happy to chat, share and make friends whilst in Disney. Although the same can not be said for Disneyland Paris :upsidedow

We're not set to go again now until Oct 2014 so in the meantime trip reports, etc will keep me going. Hope that works for you too!

Aww Im so glad its not just me who is suffering! Disney sure did get it right to make sure people return year after year!

We've got Vegas to get booked and paid for this week so hopefully that will give me something to look forward too, no hope of adding another Disney trip this year! The money just about stretches to Vegas then its Christmas, so Im just going to have to think about Next year :) I really want to get something booked for Sepetmber next year whilst the free DDP is on offer again, otherwise we'd never afford to go but I don't think it will happen again until 2015 now, if not 2016!

I might just be sneaky and book it anyway. Its my dad's 60th next year maybe I could use that as my excuse, Mum wants to take him on a cruise, so I could tie in a few nights at the world to get my Mickey fix, then take a 7 night cruise! :scratchin:scratchin:scratchin

QueenDisney - I know what you mean! I don't tan at all so a 2 week all inclusive deal does not appeal to me at all, its a waste of my time 'lying in the sun' I can do my fake tan in 20 minutes! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
