We've never eaten at a disney table service rest.

We used to go a lot when the kids were little when they could all still get kids' meals AND when we lived near DL and could just go down for the afternoon and dinner.

Then they got big and 5 adult meals is just too much.

We still do T-Rex and Rainforest on occasion and we have done BoG, but we don't go to places like Chef Mickey anymore. $200 for one meal just isn't what we like to spend our money on.

We also feel the quality of the food has gone down.

OP I'm with you. We did do Cinderellas royal table once, but only my dd and I went, while my ds and DH rode rides. NO way was I paying for him to complain through the whole meal!

We are off site people and usually take a midday break so it's easy to find food. I just can't bring myself to spend an entire weeks worth of grocery money on one dinner. And honestly we are not foodies. I'm just as happy eating a sandwich, which is good because then our vacation money can stretch further! Even though we stay in a condo I don't want to cook on vacation, so we usually have cereal before hitting rope drop, eat a quick service for lunch and end up somewhere like a Earl of Sandwiches for dinner.

I've eaten at a Disney table service restaurant three times. It might be something we do once during a trip, but we've never wanted to devote that much time to eating. Like the poster above, we're not foodies.

Even people who return to WDW every year have a list of things they're never done and don't plan to do. Everybody has different things that are important to them. Clearly TS dining isn't important to you. It's wonderful that there are so many ways to customize a WDW vacation to be what's right for you. Nothing at all weird about that. In fact it's smart to recognize what you do and don't want to do with your time so you'll better enjoy your vacation.

Perfect response! I agree! Glad there's something for everyone.

I have...over the years:thumbsup2 Some are still great, most,IMHO, are only ok. As in 'if I have FD and the numbers work to my advantage, then ok':rotfl: We do mostly quick service,as there is a lot of really good qs at Disney.... I can be there a week and never touch a burger or fires at qs....:thumbsup2 When our kids were smal we always took them to Chef Mickeys once a trip.... now our one 'go-to' place per trip is Boma..... it is still as fantastic as it ever was....the quality is so great:cheer2: other than that, it's qs all the way! (just thinking about all the yummy qs options is making me hungry)

I don't think I could do it. Although variety at the CS places has gotten better and aren't just burgers/hot dogs/pizzas/nuggets anymore, I just don't think I could eat a weeks worth of what amounts to fast food.

Coffee/milk/pastry in the morning on the way to the bus stop. Then lunch at CS and dinner at TS is what generally works for us. By dinner time we can use a good break and a TS meal is usually just the thing we need to recharge ourselves for evening touring.

Now that we have a toddler in the mix we may change that up since I'm sure we'll have to throw in some character meals (likely breakfast as that seems to waste the least amount of park touring time)

:confused3 there are literally dozens and dozens of qs places at Disney that are not fast food.....:thumbsup2 OP, I'm with you!
