After masses of debate my husband and my parents and I have decided we will stay at the Ginn Reunion Resort for our 2 weeks trip to Disney in July next year.

We would have loved to have stayed at a Disney property but for this trip, a house / villa with our own pool will just suit us so much better. Plus we get to do a massive food shop at Publix which we love - you American's have SO much better food than us. I can't wait until my husband can apply for a transfer from Nestle UK to Nestle USA!!!!!!!!!!

So now we've decided, the actual planning of the trip can start - hurrah!!!

Hi
We are staying there too next February - will let you know how it goes but we have seen some great reports !

We booked a villa with a pool from a private UK owner (fantastic place - but aren't they all - lol)...are you renting direct or are you also using a private owner ? :confused3

We've booked for a week in July as well! :goodvibes Being a family of 6, it's nearly impossible to find a resort that won't break the bank!

Dh is very excited about the golf courses and the kids are thrilled with the look of the waterpark. Would anyone happen to know how "big" the waterpark is? Is it something that the kids would be able to spend a whole day at? Also, can our friends, who are staying at another hotel, join us at the Ginn's waterpark?

Thanks for the info.!

We stayed there earlier this year and loved it. You could spend a day at the pool area, lazy river and water park. We did 2 days of our vacation. Pool side food service was fine.
I think that the water park was in the process of expansion, a wave pool was to be added but I don't know the completion date or anything.

It is a large community, we drove from our rental and parked in the lot across from the water park area.
I am pretty sure that resort guests could have visitors to the pool but they have to pay.

We're DVC owners and we tend to split our stay between a few days onsite and a villa at Reunion. Reunion makes the Disney resorts look like a Travel Lodge! Hey, you know I'm joking, but you won't regret your decision. I enjoy my time onsite, but I can never wait to get to Reunion and if I was forced to choose, Reunion wins hands down.

It isn't on the scale of a Disney waterpark, but it's certainly more than a glorified pool. It's beautifully landscaped (as is the whole resort) and you probably know that it has slides and a lazy river. When our kids were younger, they'd have happily spent all day in the villa pool, so I reckon there's easily enough there to keep them occupied. If you want your friends to join you, you'll have to let the gatehouse know that you're expecting them - they can't just drive up and be admitted. I'm not sure of precisely how you'll need to go about it. There are two gatehouses - the main one just off exit 58 of the I-4 and a smaller one on Old Lake Wilson Road. Your best bet may be to contact Concierge. If you have booked directly with an owner, there will be a charge of $10 per person to use the waterpark. If you've booked through Reunion itself, that charge will only apply to your friends.

You will be very happy with your choice. We just returned and hope to return in the next few months. Take time to explore the resort. It is wonderful. One morning we awoke to hot air balloons flying over the property.

The waterpark is great fun especially if you have kids. At times it is almost hard to leave to go to Disney and we didn't even have any golfers in our group.

We booked we a onsite management company not the Resort. We have a 5 day oass for our 7 day stay so we can use the water park and golf.
However we saved so much booking through this company rather than the resort if we wanted to we could go to Seaworld many times!

Can i have some links... esp to see the water pk???
