Hello

After much careful consideration we've finally decided to go with an Intimate Disney Wedding. We've selected July 2006 at Sea Breeze Point; just got to send in our paperwork with the deposit and we're in!!! :woohoo:

I've been reading for days all kinds of fabulous ideas. Thank you everyone! It's already been said a million times I'm sure, but this website rocks!! (I'm paraphrasing, of course).

Lots of questions to follow in the coming days/weeks... yikes!

I guess this is when the fun/craziness starts? :hyper:

Congrats! I am sure we all here will provide as much resources as we can. :cool1:

Congrats!!! :yay:

I'm having my intimate at Sea Breeze next October...so you'll have to be sure to post lots of pics and a report when you done. :thumbsup2

I've found sooooo much info on this board! Be sure to venture out in to the other boards (especially if you're planning to vacation there as well), but I must say I'm biased and find this one to be the best! There's a great group of people here always willing to help and post advice. :grouphug:

Again, congratulations!!!!!!

Congratulations!!!

Sea Breeze Point is a WONDERFUL location!!! (of course, I'm a bit biased ;) )

Have fun planning!!

Thank you for all of the encouragement! It's really nice to feel supported during this time. My finance and I love to take pictures so expect to see LOTS afterwards. I know how valuable they have been to us in our decisions!

Have a wonderful wedding!

Congrats! My fiance and I were torn between Seabreeze and the Yacht Club, but my fiance had his heart set on the Yacht Club Gazebo, so I caved! :rotfl: Enjoy the planning, b/c it goes by so quickly! I hear that the same thing happens with the wedding, but I'll let you know.
We will all be happy to answer all your questions! Welcome to the board!

J and R's mom thanks for posting those pictures! :thumbsup2 We live out of state so we can't visit before hand.

Thanks again to everyone who have been so encouraging.

I do have a question about the Boma restaurant, but I'll post it in another thread. Time is fast approaching for our July 24th Wedding!

You're more than welcome. We weren't able to see the location either until we arrived the day before our wedding. I had never even been over to the Boardwalk area before and had no idea what to expect...so I was very nervous. But then I saw the Boardwalk and Sea Breeze Point and was very happy with our choice.

I'm very excited for you. Your date is approaching quickly. Have a GREAT wedding!

dancekm01 - No kidding!! That's great  . Same place?

J and R's mom - I was just talking with someone about the location of Sea Breeze and they said in July it would be "HOT" (I already knew that), plus Sea Breeze has a LONG (2 block) walk to where I would get married, and it's kind of noisy. Could you please help describe if that's correct. I have seen a video that you do have to walk a long ways. Don't know what to do since it's July. Perhaps I should plan on a light "summer" wedding dress? :worried: The thought was to move it to the Yacht Club Gazebo, but I don't really like that too much.

Anyone else please feel free to add some thoughts as well.

Thank you!

The walking distance would depend where you are walking from. We stayed at the BWI so we walked from the lobby to SBP...I would not consider it to be 2 blocks. I think it took maybe 2 minutes or something. If you are walking to SBP from the Yacht Club, it could be a bit more of a walk. From the Beach Club, it might be just a bit closer than the BWI lobby.

Personally, I would try to find a dress that is "lighter" if you can. I was married in September (also Hot and Humid, but maybe not quite as HOT as July) and my wedding was VERY casual...I wore a white gauzy summer dress. And I was HOT and sweating (someone saw my pictures afterwards and said I was "glowing" I told them no, that was sweat! :rotfl: )...

Anyway, for an intimate ceremony, consider you will be standing in the heat (but mostly in the shade) for at least an hour or so. One of the things I did was schedule my wedding for an earlier time. We picked 11am (DH is NOT a morning person) but it would have been cooler at 9am...by 1pm or 3pm it will be miserable (IMO).

The Boardwalk wasn't noisy. In fact, since my mom couldn't be there, I called her on my cell phone and my coordinator held the phone so my mom could hear the ceremony. The only time she really couldn't hear us was when one of the Friendship boats went by. Now, with July crowds, it could be noisier, but I'm guessing during the day it won't be as bad as the evening since a majority of people will be in the parks.

Hope that helps!
