We've decided, Disney Intimate Wedding it is!

.......J and R's mom - I was just talking with someone about the location of Sea Breeze and they said in July it would be "HOT" (I already knew that), plus Sea Breeze has a LONG (2 block) walk to where I would get married, and it's kind of noisy. Could you please help describe if that's correct. I have seen a video that you do have to walk a long ways. Don't know what to do since it's July. Perhaps I should plan on a light "summer" wedding dress? :worried: The thought was to move it to the Yacht Club Gazebo, but I don't really like that too much.

Anyone else please feel free to add some thoughts as well.

Thank you!
We walked from the BWI lobby to the location but we were married at 6pm in mid-April and it was 72 degrees out. July will be hot most likely, unless you're doing an early morning wedding.

As far as the walk goes, I LOVED getting to walk along the Boardwalk in my dress. It made me feel extra special. You can imagine the stares. I didn't consider it to be that long of a walk.

As far as the noise goes...there was hardly ANY noise from the Boardwalk area. The boats do honk their horns at the bridge near-by but I thought that added to the ambiance of the location. We also had some noisy birds chirping in the trees but, again, that was just part of having an outdoors wedding and didn't detract at all from the ceremony.

Either location will be nice. Best wishes.

J and R's mom, hiwaygal or anyone else who has had their wedding at Sea Breeze Point. From this map of the Boardwalk where did you enter? http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/boardwalk.htm

I know it's hard to describe exactly, but could you just give a general area? We're still sticking with Sea Breeze point, just wanted to get an idea of where we'll enter... seems like they should pull the limo up right up at Sea Breeze Point according to the map. :confused3

Thank you!

ck_1,

We left the Boardwalk Inn from about point "G" on the map walked around to about point "A" (ESPN).

If you are standing in front of the gazebo part, and looking toward the lake, we entered from the left "leg".

You can walk into the gazebo from the center/front, if that is your choice.

I'm not sure they can bring a limo to the front of SBP...I don't recall seeing any vehicles on the boardwalk except golf cart type service vehicles.

My guess is the limo will drop you off at the front, near the lobby (point "H") and you can either go through the lobby or there are stairs just to the right of the main BWI entrance that go directly down to the boardwalk.

Hope that helps!

:goodvibes Thank you very much hiwaygal. That was Extremely helpful. Now I have more of an idea what it'll be like.

ck_1,

Sorry, I've was away for the weekend.

My path pretty much followed hiwaygal's. The limo dropped us (my parents and I--DH was already down at the gazebo) off at the main Boardwalk lobby entrance, we met with the wedding coordinator in the lobby of BWI, and then walked out of the lobby towards the ESPN club. We too entered from the left pathway of the gazebo. One of my pictues that I posted shows where my dad and I stopped and waited for our music so that he could "walk me down the aisle."

I'm pretty sure that they will not allow any vehicles on the boardwalk; however, they might allow the carriages...but again, I'm not sure.

After our wedding, we took an Illuminations cruise with our family that night and left from the boat dock (Y on your map). That was really special.

Congratulations, you are going to love SBP for your wedding. I totally loved the walk from the boardwalk to SBP and back again. You will receive lots of compliments and congratulations on the walk.

 Thank you for all of the really nice feedback and suggestions.

I think we're just about set for our July Wedding. Mind you, we only just started planning this in late April, and we've yet to turn in our packet to our Wedding Coordinator (who has been most helpful and very nice).

So far we are getting married at Sea Breeze Point, 3 p.m. (hope it doesn't rain).

We have Randy as our photographer - with the MK shoot to schedule some time after (this is the honeymoon MK shoot, so no wedding gown or tux). Disney offered this exchange since we are bringing our own photographer.

Dinner at AKL BOMA.

I'm asking my future future Mother-in-law to make the wedding bouquet so she can feel apart of the wedding, and because she's done them before. I'm using one I saw from the previous post with pictures of other brides bouquets!

I asked my Wedding Coordinator about tossing rose petals and we can!!! She also said they can have some down the isle as I'm walking up. Is it overkill to have the petals on the isle, and to toss them afterwards??? I seemed to have taken her aback when I suggested this. :confused3

We did up our invitations from a kit purchased on the web: http://www.myexpression.com/prodDetail.cfm?ProductID=7001
I really liked the idea of the pocket to stuff with information. Very nice!!!

This weekend I'll be shopping for a dress  I imagin that's when it will hit me how real everything is!!!
