Wet&Wild, BB/ or Typhoon Lagoon?

Sister and family (DH, dd-10, ds-7) going to Universal/IOA for first time and thinking of waterpark. Have triple A tickets for 3rd day at Universal/IOA and will go separate to waterpark. Kids and dad love the water rides. Any suggestions to the best for your money?

We've never been to wet and wild, but BB beats TL hands down. We were very disappointed with TL. Rides are very short.

Hi,

This is a very difficult call and it's really down to what you want from a water park.

For us, BB & TL beats W n W hands down, mainly due to the themeing and rides.

Our favourite is TL, although it's a tough call.

Blizzard Beach is absolutely the best!

Typhoon Lagoon has a great wave pool and snorkeling lagoon. BB has Teamboat Springs (1400 foot long) family raft ride. Both parks have nice lazy rivers.

I personally like them both for the reasons mentioned above.

I vote for Wet n Wild. It's the original and IMHO still the best. Yes, the Disney parks have themeing but for a water park, that's a bit beside the point.

WnW is a favorite with local teens which should tell you something about the quality of the rides. The new Storm ride is FABULOUS!

It's also right next door to Universal and included in the Orlando FlexTicket.

We've been to both parks. TL is absolutely the very best!
Personally - we wont go to BB again, not because it was bad, but because time is short and we don't want to miss TL.

I think it really is a matter of what your looking for.
You can't go wrong with either. You will have fun.

I personally like wet n' wild the best. I may not have very good themeing but they have an awesome ride called knee ski. I love it. It is my all time favorite water sport.

I have had a annual pass to Wet n Wild and currently have a PAP to disney, TL is my absolute favorite because of the wave pool. I have an AP to universal and can get a AP to wetnwild for $ 54.95 , so I might buy one .

BB has better thrill slides (Summit Plummet) but TL has a better wave pool and snorkeling.
Disney sometimes offers discounted water park tickets if you get there after 4:00 and sometimes has a special water park hopper pass. You might check. If you upgrade your Universal tickets (assuming you can) to a Flex ticket Sea World and Wet and Wild will be included.
My vote is with BB.
