Wet Towels

Hi - this may sound like a funny question but here goes... Is it Ok to string up a line outside and hang wet towels out to dry? Or does anyone have suggestions on how to dry multiple towels at one time? The RV won't have enough space to hang up all of our wet towels after showering/swimming.

Well.... We did it when there last month... Towels and bathing suits... Had a line between 2 trees and also clipped them on the awning supports a couple of times... saw others doing it, and didn't see anything prohibiting it... i don't think they'd dry being hung on the door hooks in the trailer...

We have done it on all of our trips to FW. No one has ever said anything.

We have a drying rack that sits outside the door. This way we can grab our towel the next time we need it as we go out the door. If anything else gets wet then you can drap it on there too. We did use pants hangers the first time and clipped the towels on and hung them on the back of the bathroom door. I wasnt sure if they wanted to see everybodies stuff hanging to dry!!

We have done it and I see a lot of other campers who do as well. Sometimes mine don't dry due to the humidity.

We use a drying rack..the same one that I use at home when the weather is nice and I'd like to dry somethings outside on the deck. It folds down flat..and when camping we usually put it at the back of the trailer..if it contains laundry that I'd prefer not staring at. One good thing is that you can move it around so that it's in the sun so that your laundry dries. I personally don't care for the look of laundry on a line in the campgrounds..towels and bathing suits are fine...but some folks have their personals out there...and frankly it ain't always pretty! I really don't know what the policy at FW is regarding clothes line. I know that the two parks we visit in NY both have no laundry line policies.

I see lots of lines out. Word of caution. 2x i have gone out after dusk to get the towels only to be surprised by a bat hanging on the line in the towels. Now if it is after dark i don't touch the line till morning. I do see alot of people hang their towels on the awning arms but i don't like to do that.

I am another who has attempted to dry towels outside, but with the shade, humidity and not uncommon rain we have little luck in getting towels to dry outside.

I see you go in August...I wonder..since this may be a possibility for us this year..how you like it at that time of year? We have vacationed previously in Disney during this time..and know how humid and hot it can be. I'd like to be able to go in May..but that seems not to be an option since my daughter will be having her prom. Also..can't afford to take kids out of school since my son had apendicitis and has already missed a week. Brings us back to August...and we are debating whether to go or not.
Are you able to spend much time outside your camper...or is it just to hot?
Do you find that your campsite floods..from the afternoon rains?
Also...do you run your a/c when you aren't in the unit..or just when you are there..I'd think it would take too long to cool it back down..but wouldn't want to have it running for 10 days straight either.
We have only used our RV in Ct. or upstate NY...and a/c hasn't been a huge issue in the summer.
Sorry for all the questions, but I'd certainly appreciate your insights.

We stayed at FW in July last year and August the year before. We leave our a/c running while we are gone. Both July and August are hot and humid. We expected that and planned accordingly. Lightweight clothing that wicks the moisture. Take breaks in a/c, enjoy the shows. August was extremely wet. We were in the 100 loop and many days our campsite was flooded. We had to wear sandals to the bathhouse because we had to walk through puddles 2+ inches deep. There were hurricanes off the coast that caused all the rain. July was much drier. I think it depends on the year.
