Wet, Sweat, Fun & Sun But You Have HOW Many Snack Credits Left?

We lined up for the dessert party and were soon in the covered terrace area. The tables are assigned but they missed that we would have Michayla in her wheelchair, so where they first had us first wouldn't work, they found us a couple small tables side by side near the entrance which ended up being a perfect spot for us. A few pics from the dessert buffet.

We moved up to the railing so the kids wouldn't have anyone in front of them and watched the Magic, the Memories & You show on the castle. Unfortunately, Mike wasn't able to get many pics. (I think he video'd most of it).

The lanterns on the tables.

The Wishes Fireworks was next. Tink flies pretty close to where we are......Mike didn't get a clear picture, but I included one to show you how close she was.

More of the fireworks.

A few of the kids (minus Michayla......bummer).

After the party and the terrace set-up.

So the Dessert Party was $49/adults & $29/child.....so not cheap for our large family but since this was a once in a lifetime trip......we figured we wanted one night where we got to see the fireworks without being crowded and not having to wait hours for a decent spot near the castle. The terrace was nicely set up, the buffet was stocked with all sorts of tasty treats, you were given a glass of sparkling cider and the view (with it being on a covered terrace) was totally worth the splurge!! We hung out to let the crowds thin out and hopefully wait out the rain.

We did eventually head out onto Main Street to find a spot to watch the Electrical Parade. The kids were tired (as were the adults) but I HAD to see this parade. This is one of my favorites from my childhood and so this was a must do. We found a spot so everyone could sit down and rest and Mike picked up his camera and got these pictures.

That's all for today.....Shutterfly is having some issues & it's taking a LOOOOOONNNNNGGGGGGG time for these uploads to happen.

The sweatshirts you bought were so cute. Glad you enjoyed the dessert party. Chelsea got sick during it, so she and I missed most of the show and all of the fireworks.

Oh no.....that's terrible!!! We kept Shy healthy thru dinner & the dessert party.....thankfully the rain cooled things down!!

Nice update. That desert party looks nice. If our trip wasn't already going to be super expensive I would suggest that but we will just have to take our chances. We have 2 MK days and one we are leaving early and doing dinner at Calif Grill but I timed it so we could see them from the restaurant. But I made sure that we will be in the park on our 2nd day so we can see the magic show on the castle and the parades. I too love the Electric Light parade and mad at myself that I didn't watch it more when it was still at DL. I did see it a few times though and as they say you don't know what you've got till it's gone. Now I miss it LOL.

Loved the sweatshirts!!

I have to ask in one of your pics you show some restaurants/shops with tables with yellow umbrellas in front of them. I remember last time we were there we were looking for a place to eat and I couldn't remember what that was. I know when you walk down main street to the left is Crystal Palace but do you remember what the restaurant is to the right?

It's my absolute favorite memory of my Disney childhood as well. Happy music, pretty lights and some floats from the "Old" movies like Pete's Dragon. Yes, it's a MUST-Do for me too! I've contemplated the Dessert Party, but we aren't big dessert eaters, and it's so darned expensive. Other stuff seems to always be higher on my To-Do list.

Awww those sweatshirts are cute and the girls look very happy with them too!

The dessert party looks delicious :)

I know a lot of people were upset that they doubled the price for this but to us it was worth it. It was drizzly and we were dry and had a great view with yummy treats as a bonus!

I really want to try California Grill.....but it wasn't a good choice with all the kids. Hopefully Mike & I will get the chance to go back alone and this will be a priority when making reservations.

That is the Plaza Restaurant.

The desserts were a nice touch, but it was worth it with my anxiety and the kids needs to be somewhere without crowding......it was spendy and not something we could do every time.....but for the kids first trip.....we budgeted this in.

The sweatshirts are super cute....especially when I get all 4 girls in them!!

Tasty treats and the hot chocolate (that's not what they called it.....it was fancier than cocoa) was to die for!!!

With the family settled on the curb, Mike went around and got these pictures.

I want this painting!!

A few more on Main Street.

My tired family.........

One more before the parade starts.

Time for Disney's Electrical Parade!!! First up is Tinkerbell.

The train

The fun spinners!!

Alice in Wonderland section.

The last section was a tribute to America.

The twins LOVED the parade and the music!!

A couple last pictures of Main Street on our way out.

Mike & I had a Photopass picture done on Main Street.

We got back to the Pop Century Resort after midnight........but what a great day!!

Love the parade pics and what a great pic of you and mike!!

:lovestruc MSEP! I'm so glad they kept some of the elements I remember from my childhood visits to the DL!

So the last 3 days I have tried to upload pictures to Photobucket, but get nothing but "Upload Failed" on every picture. I have emailed support since I've paid for a yearly subscription to allow enough storage for me to do these reports. I'm only at 7% right now......so I know it's not that. I'm a little ticked off at this point that I'm at a standstill until photobucket starts working for me again. :(
