Ok I have a question, does any one have a great way to dry shoes quickly. We bring and a extra pair and thinking of bringing two extra pairs!. But with the unpredictable weather and some of the rides we always tend to get our shoes soaked, and haveing them set over night and sometimes two nights ,They do not always dry verey good.

There are electronic fan-type products that you can buy to dry boots, gloves, etc. I would check out your local sporting goods stores or online. My BF just got one of these as a gag gift but I'm sorry, I can't remember the name of the product.

For me, I bring 2 pair of shoes and rarely have problems with them still being wet if I put them near the heater in the room for the day.

Good luck!

Our shoes got drenched once on a DCL. I ended up running them through the dryer for a cycle and then letting them air dry overnight. It worked pretty well.

It'll cost you some time and money, but save you weight and space in your luggage.

Stuff them with newspaper. After an hour or so, take out the old paper that will have wicked a lot of the water out, and put fresh paper in them. Leave them overnight with paper in them, if that is possible.

You really have to pack that paper in tight. Wad it up, stuff it in to the toes, and wad up some more and pack that in too. You just can't put too much paper in there!

Once I was so desperate while on vacation, I bought a daily paper specifically for that purpose. First I stuffed the shoes with the classified ads while I read the news, then I switched the classifieds out with the news sections.

We always were Crocs--they dry out in minutes--we never
have a problem with wet shoes or blisters.

My DD9 will ONLY wear her tennis shoes at WDW. I tried to get her to wear crocs or sandals and she wouldn't so those were a waste of money.

I just bought her 2 pairs of her favorite tennis shoes and when one is wet, she wears the other pair until the first gets dry. If they both get wet, I toss them in a dryer for 30 minutes (I have to stand there and hold the door shut. :rotfl: ) but then they were either totally dry or nearly dry.

Thanks all:cool1: ,there all great Ideas I like the Idea of the shoe/boot drying prouduct, and the news paper stuffing. I think I will bring/use as many as I can bring along with three pairs of shoes:rotfl2:. My mom when we were kids use to wah our shoes and the trow them into the dryer they always seem to feel funny after words. Thanks for all the great Info.

that's exactly what we did last month: after a sudden downpour, our sneakers were soaked, so we bought a couple of newspapers and i stuffed them tight, kept changing and re-stuffing with newspapers thru the night - by the next morning, they were considerably drier (i wore my Tevas that day, and upon returning to our room, my sneakers were dry)

this is what i would do too. when i was a kid, i played and practiced in the rain and this is what my coach would always have us do. the part about packing the paper tight is a definite must too! if you pack it too loosely, the newspaper won't suck all the water out of your shoes.

Get the kid some water sneakers from Lands End if she won't wear sandals.
Did you try Keens? They have full foot coverage if that is her issue.

No one in my family is allowed to do WDW in shoes that cannot take getting drenched. (Of course, we're all normally barefoot every chance we can get, so sports sandals are our normal choice.)

I swear I don't get a kickback on the sale of these shoes, I just think they're the greatest thing.

I also cannot/will not wear sandals and I'm really not comfortable in Crocs. I need support and prefer something that I know will stay on my feet. I can't say enough good things about these shoes -- much more like tennis shoes and have great support.
