Wet N Wild in Feb?

I can't find an answer to this elsewhere, so here goes:

We are planing to go to Universal in the early part of February and I'm looking at the ticket UT has for all three parks for 14 days at $175. Looks like a great deal, even though we'll only be there for 4 days, but I worry that it's a waste of money to get it just for the added water park option.

Last year I was near Palm Beach in March and it was too cold to go to the beach except for one day. I know that was unusual, so am turning to the experts to see if any of you would consider Wet N Wild in early Feb.

Also, does UT change its ticket prices/offerings very often? I'd like to hold off on getting the tkts for as long as possible.

Thanks!

I wouldn't go to a water park in February and the weather is too unpredictable to make any plans more than a few days out. I think you will have to decide if you are going to want to go despite whatever the temperatures may be.

Dec-Feb the weather is all over the place.I have had trips where I was in shorts and trips where I was in FULL winter gear.In fact last December it was colder in FLORIDA then it was in PA.You need to play it by ear, you can't count on warm weather and pooltime in those months

The water is heated, but standing wet, cold gush of wind... :scared1:

You'll be spending a lot of time wet and outside the water getting on slides and stuff..

I'd rather be :surfweb: :)

Yeah, I was afraid that's what you all might say. Since I am a total sissy about cold weather, I'll wait until the last possible minute to order the tickets and not mention the water park to the kids.

Thanks for the feedback.

Early February is still a cold time of year, the warmest you could expect would be highs in the upper 70's to near 80 and lows around 50-55.It however could be a high of 47 with lows near 20,in that case the waterparks will be closed so as someone said you have to wait until a week out before you know what you're going to get.Being a Floridian the coldest I've ever gone to a waterpark was in March I believe to Blizzard Beach with highs in the mid to upper 70's and I was OK as long as I was in the sun,if I walked into a cave or something I was a bit chilly.
