The good news: we just got back from myrtle beach for the weekend. Bad news: DS let his ipod shuffle get wet on the beach. It turns on but that's about it. Any chance I can try it out or fix it?

Salt water is BAD for electronics... (well any water is but Salt water is especially bad)...

but try placing it in an airtight container packed in rice.

leave it there for a week and try it out (i used this method to save an iphone that.. uhm, fell in the toilet.... thankfully before it was used!)

I second the rice suggestion, worked for me with a cell phone that fell in the tub.

I second on the rice. I've been told that if you bury it in dry rice for at least 6-12 hours, it should work. I've always wondered if it works, so let us know!
