GRRR yes I saw that. We are looking for a departure of dec 18 and return of dec 28. So far NWA has the best prices and I cannot find a single direct flight to Orlando from Calgary for my dates double GRR. Thanks for the heads up!

511 return for each of us. That is with a layover in Minneapolis. We need five tickets :scared1: Hopefully the rest of WJ dates come out soon.

Have you tried calling WJ to ask on the release dates, or if their Customer Care can release the prices? You never know...

Drag N Fly is that 511 with taxes? Or is that the total. Total price $511 is really good. I have not found anything that good. What site did you find this on? Thanks. I am also looking for flights out of Calgary in the fall. Probably Sept.

I've been waiting and waiting as I had $1000 in travel credits from WEst jet I needed to use by mid-March. So I'm booked for Nov. 28 to Dec. 7. Using my travel credits and my RBC points 4 of are flying from Toronto to Orlando for a whopping $332.00 total!!! WOOHOO!!!!

They would still need a huge seat sale to beat any price from a US carrier for some reason. $887 return per person from Moncton but only $547 from Moncton with United. Even better, $238 return from Portland ME.

I just don't understand the philosophy of these Canadian carriers.

I agree. I usually fly out of Buffalo and it's SOOOO much cheaper and honestly more convenient not having to clear customs at Pearson.

The ONLY reason I'm flying out of Toronto is the travel credits and the fact it's US thanksgiving and the flights out of Buffalo were not all that much cheaper and involves a layover.

Yes I did call and she wasn't sure and told me to keep my eyes peeled.:goodvibes

Yesterday that was NWA not including tax. You can find a cross comparison of flight deals on kayak.com:goodvibes

used travelocity for Sept 13 and 21st. Frontier came out at 1592 total for 3 people. Thats including taxes.

Flights are now out until mid January 09. Prices appear to have doubled for the period Dec 15th to Jan 12th.
Did anyone get a lower fare for this period?

Thanks for the update ABCanada,
It's peak travel season so it will be really expensive to fly that week, but there will be better deals coming out. They just make the regular fares really high so when thay knock off a couple hundred bucks we feel like we are getting a killer deal.

The flight times seemed good
WS0926 from YYZ - MCO is at 10:30am
WS0927 from MCO - YYZ is at 1:55pm

I jumped on these dates as soon as they were released as I was using my Airmiles to pay for the tickets ;)

Let me just add, YES it usually IS so much more convenient to travel from Buffalo and always cheaper....however, we left from there on Feb 7, day after our big storm here...getting there was a NIGHTMARE. Couldn't have gotten there any easier to overnight the day prior with the weather so we left at 0800 that morning with our flight departing at 12:05. Got to the Airport at 11:20! Could NOT find parking, the lot was a zoo. In the end the shuttle lead us to a remote spot..at the edge of the lot. He then drove us to the terminal. Did curbside check in and then waited in security for ages and ages. The line was miles...we made it to the gate at 12:02:rolleyes1

Upon arrival home, Buffalo must have had some freezing rain on top if snow. Our car was frozen in ice, solid. We couldn't get into it fopr 20 mins (thank goodness for remote start) then sat in it another 40 before the windows were clear enough to see. The snow and ice were so hard that it just could not be scraped off. When we finally attmepted to use the wipers, the ice yanked them off! So we drove home with no wipers. Thankfully, there was no precipitation happening or I am not sure what we would have done!

Buffalo works like a charm, most of the time. In the Winter, it CAN be a whole different thing! For us, I think Winter flights will be from here from now on.

Just a heads up.....

Minnie56, we had a similar experience on our flight to LA on February 1st. There was a storm the day before but by the time we drove to Buffalo that night to stay over at the Buffalo Airport Sleep Inn, it was fairly quiet on the roads.

Our flight was 6:30am and we headed over about 5am...a little late for my taste but DH thinks I worry too much! ;). Well we were greeted by a huge check-in line at SW but it moved fairly quickly and I think it took us about a half hour. Then we headed to the huge Security check-in line. I was getting worried at this point but finally someone came along and pulled several of us out of the line up and directed us downstairs, to another check-in point, where we also had to walk outside.

We got to the gate about 8 minutes before our flight, but SW held the flight for at least 20 minutes, for people still stuck in the Security line. We had a 2 hour transfer in Chicago so weren't really worried.

It was so busy because of all the cancelled flights the day before and I'll certainly remember that, if we find ourself in a similar situation.

When we got back, our car had ice on it, but not as bad as yours from the sound of it. We chipped as much as we could away and headed out. We didn't really have any trouble finding a parking spot at the beginning of the trip, but we were far out in the Longterm A lot!

I did tell DH that although it was a nice break from the cold and snow, I think I'd rather go away closer to spring when there's less winter still to look forward to!

Agree... and even better then BUF, I just booked for $212 from Kitchener. Dates and fares in K Class are going fast, but found some up to the end of the year a few days ago. www.nwa.com - Do a +/- 3 day search.

Ooops... I guess it was $242 minus a $25 ECert. If anyone wants an ECert for NWA, let me know and I will give you the person I got mine from for $5/Ea.

Well I checked Westjet when I saw the title change and the five of us would be 6910.00cad return all taxes:scared1:. Fortunately we bought our tickets last week through United for 2360.00cad return including all taxes for our December trip:cool1: :thumbsup2
