Noticed yesterday that Westjet prices have dropped 25%. DH called to check our flights and the price for four is $700+ cheaper.

Sounds like Westjet is going to have less seat sales but lower regular prices.

:thumbsup2

I hope they drop enough so I can fly out of my local airport instead of having to drive south to Seattle!

It is cost an arm and a leg to fly for us! For 5 people from Winnipeg to Orlando it will cost us $4004.10! If we fly Southwest from MSP it will cost us $1200 return!:scared1:

For us 4 people is $2100 and it is a direct flight from Winnipeg.

We have a baby and a toddler and spending the extra day driving in the winter to Minneapolis isn't worth it.

Ditto! It cost us $2100 this past January. Direct flight on WJ.

Sunwing (charter) only does Sunday - Sunday is cheaper that Air Canada and Westjet.

Sept 19-26 Toronto -Orlando
Air Canada $632
Westjet $736
Sunwing $355 and also includes free meals

Guess which airline we will be using?

I booked WJ for August a couple of months back..paid $258 pp incl all taxes. Paid similar for a flight to Fort Lauderdale in Nov with Air Canada, $5 less actually. There have been some really good prices this year...:thumbsup2

I have flown 2 flights domestically and one flight international on WJ in a month(great prices). I am really looking forward to finally being able to afford supporting our local Canadian airline:goodvibes

Just booked our flight home. April 23rd, $492. taxes in for the 2 of us. Now to find good prices for the way there. Kind of do things backward, but the day, the time of the flight and the price was right. Anything less than $500. from Halifax is pretty good to me.

Airline prices out of Toronto are always good. For those of us in Winnipeg or other provinces it's more expensive :(

Its the same in the Maritimes, out of Halifax anything around $500. is good. I gues there are more choices out of To.

I know Vancouver is the furthest but our prices are just insane......We fly for less than 1/2 the price if we drive 2 hours south and fly out of Seattle.

Wow how are you flying?? We went United, 4 people return is $2100 Canadian! Winnipeg -> Orlando return with a chance in Chicago!

We have done multiple trips out of Buffalo. For our trip in August we are flying out of Toronto however. Two young kids (DD6 and DD2) and we want things to be easy (want a direct (easier on the girls) and timing is important. Southwest changed their summer schedule and dropped the 11am (ish) flight. The 6:30am flight is just way too earlier for the girls and the only way it would work is to go down the night before and stay at a hotel. Add the cost of the hotel, and it was $20 more to fly AC out of Toronto. And it is a 10:30 flight.

I tried with west jet, but we can never get a flight for 5 people for under $4000, thats return from Winnipeg to orlando. We normally go on a cruise and WDW for a couple of weeks in August! When we fly we usually fly Airtran out of Minneapolis. The boys love MSP for the mall and waterparks over there, so it works out fine. :woohoo: For the past 2 years we have been getting flights for 5 people with airtran for about $750 total (I found flights both times for $65pp one way):wizard:

We usually cruise with Disney Cruise Line, because it is kid friendly and the service is incomparable. The price is a different thou, it can be expensive but well worth it. I would rather cruise than go to WDW, just because we live in Winnipeg and rarely get to see the ocean

wow just checked out sunwing and our $4600 flight from TO went down to $2100 from to, only thing is that we have to leave at 6:30 am and have a stop on the way back.

What is eveyones experience on this charter. How crammed in are you, I have very long legs.
