Four of us are flying return for under $1,400 Canadian. If you are looking for September, there are a limited number of seats :thumbsup2

where are you flying from?? and does this include the insanely high Canadian taxes??? :rotfl2:

Duh to me!!! I forgot, this is flying from Pearson - so yes includes all the brutal taxes :cool1: :Pinkbounc

We got the sale sale during March break ~ 4 people, $1388

i would wait for a seat sale on southwest out of buffalo for that price you can fly 4 people and have money for the car and hotel we do it 3 times a year thats not a good price i would reconsider right now its $800 canadian for the four in sept $600 diff would cover the room at all star sports

We booked that same price Friday for our October trip - $347 taxes in!

We decided to go for the departure from TO vs. southwest b/c it's fil's first time flying and we wanted him to have a non-stop flight. We are hoping he'll be a bit more relaxed flying from TO and getting to sleep at home the night before vs. flying from buffalo.

Trip seems more 'final' now if you kwim!! Glad we're all booked!!

we got nonstop flights for this saturday to june 2 out of buffalo with south west for $290 canadian for the 2 of us return its alway that price if you get the internet rate or ding rate

We just got back and took Westjet ... and loved it! Great service and the leather seats, leg room and those personal TVs are wonderful!

For flying from Buffalo ... does anyone know of any scheduled shuttles from Toronto to the Buffalo airport? I've done a couple flights from Buffalo (but not to Orlando) where the price has been WAY cheaper. If the price is reasonably close it's not worth the travel time to Buffalo along with the multi-stop air service.

i would call the airline shuttle in your area im in kitchener and we have airways transit but we just drive there or stay overnight at the days inn ,it depends on my wifes on call time im sure with the $$$ you save it would be worth it we paid $290 return for 2 of us canadian 2 months ago for our trip this saturday

I just flew out of BUF with southwest non stop for $110 USD each total. Next weeks flight (june 3) is $125 usd non stop.

It baffles me why people from this area would pay three times as much.

Sometimes it's not just about the price that some of us choose to fly out of Pearson. It's convenience, not wanting to drive a couple of hours after an exhausting vacation, elderly family members who don't want to drive to Buffalo, weather conditions at certain times of the year, work hours, etc. etc. etc.

If we had taken a flight from Buffalo when we went in December last year, we probably wouldn't have made it because of a winter storm the day/evening before our flight. I was alreaddy stressed from thinking our flight would be delayed from Pearson ... think how it would have been if I thought we couldn't drive to Buffalo during a blizzard!!

So be thankful that you can choose Buffalo (and I would too if I could) but realize that some people can't do the same due to various circumstances. These threads sometimes make me crazy because they inevitably end up making those who choose not to fly out of Buffalo to be foolhardy. It's just not the case.

Where are you flying out of and when is your March Break? I fly out of Halifax and during my son's March Break they still want to charge $285 before taxes so that's what? around $600 after taxes?

That would most likely be out of YYZ Toronto. That's where I just go the seatsale from.

And to the poster that questioned why we would choose to fly out of TO - If it was just dh and my boys and I going I probably would have - with taking a 65yo man on his FIRST flight ever we thought it would be better for him to fly from his own city that he feels comfortable with rather then making him sleep in a strange bed the night before. He's nervous about flying already so if we can make it easier by flying Westjet - a reputable carrier - and paying a bit more then we'll do it!

It continues to baffle me, I am sorry. I respect your right to fly from wherever you choose for whatever reason you choose and really pass no judgements.

I find the people who speak of ease of transport etc haven't flown from Buffalo. I leave home at the same time whether I am going to Buf or YYZ for a 7 a.m. flight. I have waited in the unbelievably long lines at Pearson for security and customs...I travel alone with an autistic/bi polar son...so I know a thing or two about travelling with a person who needs special consideration. In Buf I curb check my bags, it is a smaller airport with less walking and it is less crowded. As well the parking is cheaper.

I would pay the same price to fly out of BUF as YYZ...because I travel alone with DS and the BUF airport makes my life easier...besides saving me money.

I don't blame you for paying a bit more and going Westjet -- that's what I'm doing next time. This year we thought we would try Canjet for the first time - what a mistake!!! It seemed like we were flying with the Fred Flintstone Express -- flying with Canjet is not a mistake I will ever make again.

Believe it or not, I have flown out of Buffalo before so I have flown from there....but when it comes to travelling to Orlando with senior citizen parents who do not want to to drive 2 hours to Buffalo before boarding a 4 or 5 hour flight...then it's no contest. And while I may consider flying out of Buffalo during the spring, summer and fall, I won't fly out of Buffalo in the winter in case winter storms prevent me from travelling to Buffalo. It's a lot different getting a ride to Pearson (a 20 minute drive) through a storm than to Buffalo...through a storm and the snow belt.

And with all the horror stories out there about Pearson...I've never had a bad experience flying out of Toronto. The lines may be long sometimes but they've always proceeded without incident and the lines moved fairly quickly. Crossing the border in a car however....I've had incidents with border guards who probably didn't like the colour of our car and decided to pull us over. Go figure.... :confused3

We personally fly out of Toronto because it is convienent, we just take public transit. No driving, no parking, no worries. We stay at a hotel the night before, just to get the trip started early. It would be nice to save money and go to Buffalo, but, I'd have to drive, or shuttle for a lot more money than Pearson anyway. Although I too don't like to pay extra for Pearson, I am willing to do this because it is easier. I applaud anyone willing to make the trip to Buffalo, not worth it for me!

Can't wait to fly Westjet, we keep checking to make sure I got the dates right!

Luvdiz :woohoo:
