Westjet - Dec fares

We fly Jetblue out of Syracuse as well. We do the Park & Fly at the Best Western which is quite literally across the street from the airport. The shuttle takes approximately 60 seconds.

We save at least half the cost of flying out of Ottawa. That is the only reason we've been able to make 3 trips in the last 4 yrs, instead of the "once in a lifetime" the first trip was supposed to be.

Rates for Christmas week are too high for me, but they usually have a seat sale in Oct that includes some holiday travel dates. If you are planning on driving anyway, you could always keep an eye out for the seat sale and book if it's cheap enough for you. We have played as little as $59. each way. I currently have a $200. credit with Jetblue and trying to decide if we will throw caution to the wind and book a trip. If I get a good sale I might.

We fly out of Halifax regularly and although there are periodically seat sales, the past few years the airfare has been quite high. Anything less than $500 per person taxes in is a good deal. Most have been a bit higher, even with lots of airline carriers to choose from. We have flown direct with Westjet and it was great. I don't understand why there are no airfares listed--we have prices listed for our flights in March 2008 with Westjet. Some of the Canjet flights aren't listed until you get closer to the dates because they are charter flights. Often, they only fly one or two days a week--a bit tricky if bad weather is a possibility. We had friends who missed their trip because there was no other flight until the next weekend. Anyway, I would check Moncton and a few American cities. We have to drive 5 hours to get to Halifax but I would love to have the option of driving to the US and flying for much cheaper. Check often--the prices fluctuate daily and even during the day. You may get lucky! Happy planning!
