Westjet companion vouchers

How do these work if you want to fly Toronto to Vancouver, but on the return Honolulu to Toronto. Do they apply half the Canadian voucher amount and half the Hawaii voucher amount? (Doing a cruise from Vancouver to Hawaii next April)

Trying to figure out if it would be better to use airmiles, or a companion voucher from my westjet card...

It HAS to be booked as a round trip ticket to use the voucher so I doubt it would work to use the companion voucher. Call to be sure but I'd bet you'll only be able to use airmiles

Yes you can do this but it needs to be booked over the phone through westjet. It's called an 'open jaw' flight.

I was able to do the same sort of thing with our companion ticket, she told me that there had to be one common point of travel. For us it was MCO. If you get told no please try again later as the second person I got was able to do it for me...

No it doesn't. We used our companion voucher to fly one way from YYZ to MCO. We flew back using Air Canada. They questioned why I would want to "waste" it, but flying home Air Canada had better times and was still cheaper than flying both directions with Westjet.

Sorry I meant to use it in both directions it had to be booked as a round trip... but according to people upthread that might not be true either so maybe I just know nothing
