Westin Maui in II available

Just wanted to give anyone a heads up If they are looking to exchange into Westin Resort on Maui. There was a "bulk" deposit on units for late April thru end of May at both Westin Resorts.

This is a good oppurtunity to get one of those weeks in the next few days.

Let me tell you. When we went this past October, we had a blast and absolutely love Hawaii.

There were no weeks starting June 7th, only one week ending on June 7th and that was at Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort North - 2 bedroom unit.

Most of the weeks were for May. There was a large deposit for Kauai, The Westin Princeville this morning too. Most of those weeks are late April and all of May...no June weeks.

There is no set timetable when rooms are released into II. Sept, Oct and May are usually the only consistant banking of rooms. There is usually a small January banking too, but they usually don't last thru the preference period, into the general II trading pool. Summer weeks are very difficult to get, when the kids are out of school. Your best shot is for early June and you might not get a match until about 5-6 months out.

So far, no match. Any idea if anything might become available soon?

I would think you'd get a match about 6 months out (Apr 09). We received our match for Kauai in April 08 for Oct 08 and our search was started about a year & half earlier. I know how you feel, the wait was a killer. Good luck!

There was a bulk deposit a couple weeks ago for Sept and Oct 2009. As noted above, you are more then likely to get a match about 6 months out from arrival.
