Westgate Villas

We are coming to Disney 12/31-1/9 and staying at Westgate Villas...Never been to Disney before...wondering how far Westgate is from WDW and what is the best travel options from Westgate to the park.....Has anyone stayed at Westgate? Any suggestions for shopping for food, is it clean there? Is there a pool? What should we bring with us?

If you're talking about the Westagate Vacation Villas, they are very nice. They are apartment style, with kitchens, laundry, etc in the rooms.
Ask for a "newer" room, like AA through HH, they are newer than the rest.
It is very close to Disney, but I recommend a car rather than the shuttle; the times are pretty inconvienent. By car it's 5- 10 minutes to any park.

I didn't eat at any restraunts there, but there are plenty on the main drag on the way to disney, as well as plenty of places to pick up food if you want to use the kitchen.

They are very nice on the aspect of rooms, cleanliness, etc. We really didn't appreciate the front desk people, though. Rude, impatient, and never in a hurry to take care of you.

The pool(s) are VERY VERY nice!!!!!!! We swam all the time! They pool closest to us was heated and had a neat little fountain thing. Our rooms were very nice!!!! Don't expect room service every night, though. They said it is not "included" but you may get it on some days if the maids feel up to it. Kind of rude of you ask me!

Very nice short drive to WDW! Restaurants? We didn't eat at them, but in about 2 minutes you are close to TONS of restaurants!!!!

Overall, we really enjoyed it!!!!!
