We are Westgate owners (Park City) & plan to stay in either the Westgate Town Center or Westgate Lakes this spring...does anyone have an opinion about which is better? The location in proximity to WDW/SW/etc. doesn't matter to us. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Here are some recent threads on the properties in question. I have not stayed myself so I cannot comment.

There were a lot of Westgate threads-- so you may want to do a search to look through them. :)

HI! We just returned from a 7 day 6 night stay @ westgate town center. I had read a ton of bad reviews about almost all westgate properties, so I was scared to death to say the least. We were pleasantly surprised and very happy with our stay when it ended. There was some confusion when we were checking in, but we were able to get our room around 1pm, when check in wasn't officially until 4pm. The room we had was a 2 br suite, and it looked almost exactly like the photos online. The couch was a little worn and some dirt in the corners of the dining room area, but not bad at all. Maintenance and staff were very friendly. If we were coming in or out of an elevator and cleaning / maintenance was trying to get on, they would back off and let us go first. Most everyone we encountered was friendly. We had to do the dreaded "time share presentation". Thanks to everyones advice, we skipped the breakfast, were pretty upfront w/the rep "Ygor", and let him know we were only there for the 90 minutes and weren't interested in purchasing. We didn't argue that his product wasn't a good deal, just stated we couldn't afford it at this time. He was very friendly. 2 Mgr's did come over to speak to us, but they were friendly also, and the whole thing, start to finish was about 93 minutes.
Overall, I must say we were happy with our accomodations and the people we encountered.

I prefer the Lakes to Town Center. Especially if you'll be spending time by the pool or walking the resort. Also there is a spa at the Lakes. I think the interiors might be similar but Town Center is newer so it probably has more modern accoutrements. You might check the budget that was sent to you last fall...it has the list of improvements in it.
