Currently booked for our first cruise to depart April 2018. My son is a high school senior and now concerned about missing a week of his last high school track season. Thinking of switching to the March 3 cruise, but curious about the weather? What can we expect the temp to be like especially at CC?- knowing that nothing is ever for sure with weather, just curious what’s typical.

We did a WC last Jan and it was mid 70s at CC, in the 80s at the other ports. So it should be as warm or even warmer in March.

Ok thanks. I hate to switch but I understand his not wanting to miss his last track season. Bummer is that I was psyched about our stateroom and I won’t be able to get that if we switch.

We went the second week of Feb in 2015 and 2016z. The weather was great. The water at castaway was a little cold but still swimable.

I’ve done a WC the last week of Feb and Bahamas the first week in March (a year apart). Neither had particularly warm weather, but that was more due to wind than air temp. We nearly couldn’t tender in Grand Cayman and both Nassau and CC were tricky the following year. Water temps were fine for us, but we’re from the northeast and quite used to 72-74 degree water mid-summer. It was cool on deck, again because of the strong winds during both sailings. We had great trips both times, but I won’t sail that time of year again if I can help it. In your shoes, I would probably make the switch to the March sailing, but would be prepared for less than ideal weather.
