Western Caribbean April 30, 2011?

10 months, 4 weeks and 2 days until our cruise! LOL Seems so far away!

Sure is far away. I suspect later this year, this thread will become more active as it gets closer.

I'm also wondering what might happen to the gulf or Caribbean as a result of this oil spill and could it impact or spoil in some way this cruise. Hope not but I've been wondering lately given this oil spill issue has not been stopped yet much less fallout of clean up.

I wonder too, they say it wont be fixed until after August

WHat night is the Formal and what does it all intell? We have never done a 7 night before

I believe that formal night is on Day 3 of the cruise. It is also the night of the Golden Mickey's which is the show that is performed in the Main Theatre.

That night, you can go down and have formal pics taken which is great! As for formal wear, DH wore a suit and I a long skirt with a dressy top. There were people decked out and some not so much. I would say that as long as you wear some something nice (like church dressing) you would be fine. They have a reception area where you can have your pic taken with the Captain and they serve champagne etc.

I loved that night, didn't think I would but really enjoyed myself.:goodvibes

Hi all - we just re-booked today for this cruise. We originally were going in November of 2010 but won't be able to go this year. It will be myself, DH, DD (4) and DS (2). This will be our second cruise and we are looking forward to it.

Welcome Alecia!! Great to have you onboard with all of us. What cruise did you do the last time? What category of stateroom did you book this time? We still haven't decided which category of stateroom we are going to stick with.....guess we should figure it out soon! :goodvibes

We did a three night cruise on the Wonder back in May 2009 when we originally booked for November of this year for the seven night. I had to have my appendix out last weekend so I won't have any vacation time to cruise this year so we moved it to this one. Figured that this time of year would be nice and warm and the water would be warm and good weather. We have I think a 5B, it's room 6570. We like having the balcony for extra room to spread out. This time we are a bit more forward than I would like. We like the area around 6110 but there is nothing available back towards the Aft elevators at this point. I'll keep checking periodically to see if we can move at some point.

Thanks so much! The money we saved by booking this category will pay for all of our excursions. :goodvibes:goodvibes That is a plus in and of itself!

This next 10 and a half months will go by so quickly! Half of the fun is the waiting and anticipation, and of course the planning!!

Off to dream!!;)

Still pretty far away or sure seems pretty far away!

I wonder how well these Caribbean cruises are selling for spring 2011. Wondering if they might offer any special offers. We recently booked a special offer on Mexican Riveria cruise in Winter during our kids break with KSF. Was quite a deal and this cruise is more than 2 times the amount with same stateroom.

I would count on anything, but you never know. I have found that the 7 eastern and western sell very well for the spring. I have quite a few clients already booked for those sailings so it would be nice if something came out. I always say that you should book what you really want and can afford, after that, if you save money it is all gravy! :goodvibes

It might seem far away, but it will come very quickly!!

So glad someone can keep everything straight :)

Names: Amanda and Paul

K...done!!! Added your names! It would be nice to have the first post with all the info on it and have it changed as things changed. Along with all of our cruise info and our cruise group info etc.

I know it is still forever before we set sail but what do you have planned so far? What excursions are you planning on reserving?

LOL the only excursion we are planning is a couple massage on the ship and a possible pedicure for me! LOL

In Key West we will just wander around or take the trolley tour. I would like to see Hemingway's House so hopefully we can fit that in.

Cozumel we are going to book the Mexican Cooking Class, can't wait to do this!!

Grand Caymen will be the aquaboat and snorkel tour.

We have never had enough time to fit in any of the wine or martini classes on board so we may try to fit a few of those in.

Otherwise...........we will be laying around by the pool having a few cold ones!:goodvibes

Suppose I should answer my own question...

Keywest we are planning on the GPS Walking Tour, Cozumel the Tulum Ruins (main reason we are going on the Western is for the ruins) and Grand Cayman the Island Tour (pretty sure anyway). For CC I would like to rent a bike and ride down to the tower. pirate:
