So today, instead of being productive on my extra day of freedom, I slept TONS, rented a couple of GREAT movies, slept again from 2-7pm. Nice and lazy and relaxing! Dumped a bunch of extra plastic cups & glasses I never use from one cupboard, but didn't get any further than that. Attempted to pull weeds and planned on getting sticks out of the back yard and mowing the back, but didn't get any further than 5 minutes of pulling weeds and then decided I'd rather pay the neighbor kid $10 to do that. LOL! Will go ask him tomorrow on my way out of town. Yup, I'm lazy this weekend!

I started to pull weeds and a thunderstorm moved in... I think mother nature was trying to tell me something!!! :rotfl2:

Looks like I'll be missing everyone :( I was originally booked the first week of Dec, but had to change it due to work, so was able to book Oct 25-Nov2 with the bounceback promo. I'm hoping Monica will be able to meet up sometime that week :)
Kathe

We'll make it happen!

Holly,

Seems like we both were on the same page here!

I did a little bit of picking up last night (thinking I'd finish today).....so what do I do today? Watched 3 episodes of 90210, played on the internet, finished reading the latest Danielle Steele book that I have (Amazing Grace), took a nap, and nothing else....

Hopefully tomorrow will be more house productive! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Deb - he looks so happy, and I know you are super proud.

I love his face in the one w/ dad & brother.

I wasn't thought of yet....who was on acid though :lmao:

Acid = LSD i.e. drugs

Drugs really seemed to come into our lives in the late 60s.
All this came up because Ken's Dad has a 1963 Cadillac convertible that Ken and family may drive in the town parade and he wanted period costumes. We were discussing what the styles were in 1963 and when Hippies came up and drugs, Cheri said that was more the late 60s when she was in college and I was agreeing with her. She and I were in college and the drug culture was getting started elsewhere. So, I am not naming any names or pointing any fingers it is just an observation on the culture of the times.

My phone doesn't have a camera, should it?

Some of us prefer the simpler machines like phones that are phones instead of traveling offices.

AHHH!!! :thumbsup2 new name for the Raspberry--the Traveling Office.

or
maybe I need all of that together

The Raspberry, my Traveling Office :rotfl:

Life with a Celebrity, Part 2

You would think that since the PBS documentary played over week ago, that the hubbub over Sukie would have died down. It hasn't.

He is still getting stopped. People point at him, whisper to each other, and then shyly ask him, "Are you...?"

Throughout all of this, I just walk 3 paces behind him, carrying his handbag.

Today I am finally going to transfer the PBS documentary from the DVR to a DVD. I started to do that last Saturday night, but realized the entire documentary (and pledge drive) would have to play while it records. Today I will do it, and just let it run. I will then import the video into my iMac and edit out the pledge drive, and burn a new DVD.

I have had nearly 2 weeks to compare Sukie live and Sukie on TV. I have come to a pretty dramatic conclusion ... I think I prefer Sukie on TV. You might wonder why? I have found out that on TV when Sukie starts talking, I can switch him off.

:rotfl2: :rotfl:

Figured I'd confuse :confused3 the heck out of everyone by jumping on...at a time that I don't normally.

I really should be heading off to :cloud9: but I've been sitting here on my couch since just after 9pm listening to The Message on XM radio and feeling rejuvinated. I heard a song tonight that I know I was meant to and hit home.

Wonderful when that happens!

I love days like this! So relaxing! :goodvibes After all, your house will still be messy tomorrow.....but tomorrow, you might not have an opportunity to nap or do relaxing things. So you had your priorities right! :thumbsup2

I think I should sign off....I just tried 3 times to type something out and I kept messing it up....:rotfl:

Sorry for just a quick visit....enjoy yourselves tonight....

and Gaylean....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Is it Gaylean's Birthday sometime soon?

Great pictures Deb. Tristan is a cutie...and so are his dad and brother!

Monica and Holly, I also had a napping/vegging day. I did a tiny bit of puttering this morning and about an hour or so of figuring out my retirement plan stuff (got my individual info in the mail)...that was fun...NOT.

I've got hopes for getting more accomplished tomorrow!

HEY everybody! I'm doing an online jewelry catalog sale through 6/22, so if anybody's interested in checking it out, please PM me with your e-mail address and I'll e-mail you a link to my site for direct ordering. If I collect 14 orders, lia sophia will give everybody who orders a free star pendant. Very cute and great for the July 4th festivities! More details would be in that e-mail, to avoid boring people here. ;)

Napping days are so great! And very rare for me because I'm usually afraid to nap on Saturdays, worried that I won't wake up on time to pick Tyler up. So on those rare weekends where I get an extra free day, I NAP LIKE CRAZY! ;) :cloud9: :goodvibes

Glad to hear she is home and well enough to Dis!!! Give her our love. Or, if you're reading Heather, some love and hugs to you!!

Thanks for all the well wishes and calls while I was in the hospital! I cant believe I was that sick and they even had a infectious disease doc come and see me because of the cruise. I told them I had just gone nonstop, there was a big weather change and it wasnt an exotic "disney germ"'but since I do post op nursing they wouldnt clear me till he saw me. Im on 2 different antibiotics and I pity the people that were sick because it was sure no fun but feeling alot better now.

Thanks Monica.....we had a really nice day everyone had fun and enjoyed being together.......that's the best.

This is the day that my mom was waiting for and she didn't make it. She wanted to see the kids graduate and become young men in their lives. My brother said that he knew she was with us today.......or as a wise little one named Alex would say.......they are angels sitting on our shoulders.

Thanks Jackie, so nice of you to say.
