Here I sit watching the Travel Channel....the DCL special....awwwwwwww

Brent is on and that reminded me....I know I had a picture takes w/ Brent but apperantly I didn't have it taken w/ my camera. Cheri - did you take this for me???

They just showed the rainforest---Nan, that reminded me of the nice time I spent there: in the sauna before you got there, and then spending that time w/ you & Paul on those heated lounge chairs....hmmmmmmm...can I be back there now please?

There's the Cove Cafe - my home away from home (away from home) :) BTW does anyone have a good picture of Benita? It's amazing how many things/people I DIDN'T take pictures of!

Jan - thanks for clearing up the "pots with holes" - I'll add that to the tr later. Interesting to know.

Sandy & Ken - that "alternate" PV view....that is what Jackie & I spent the day looking at...we were camped out on the comfy lounge chairs by the Cove Cafe door facing that view. Jackie got a lot more reading done than I did. ::yes::

Holly - I love the 2 pics of Tyler w/ the slide - the before & after. Those are great!

Scary Holly. At least in the night the trees have less chance of landing on someone. I always worry about that.
I'm just glad no trees seem to have landed on any houses in our neighborhood. Tyler saw 2 cars with trees on top of them on the way home from church this morning. I'm really surprised no buildings were damaged, but I"m sure I'll see some on the news tonight. It had to have been a tornado because we went to look at that uprooted tree down the block and there's no way wind could rip up the sidewalk like that. Pics coming later. Busy putting together Tyler's slime & goo making machine he got for a birthday present from a friend. ;) Then we're leaving for the movie in about 10 min.

Ok finally got them done.

I've put the pics up on my Dropshots page from the cruise and included commentary on some of them.

Feel free to take a look and leave a comment or two or three.

This is the list of all the pics I put up as I put them into a photoalbum of sorts. You can also view them just by date by clicking on the little house (Home) and it will take you to the main page where you can view any and all of my pics.

Now I have to go through and upload my Disneyland pics and then scan in the ones we got from Shutters and add those too. I'm beginning to wonder if the pre-cruise preparation was easier than the post-cruise work ....[/QUOTE]

I'm starting to think the same thing! :lmao:

Glad you're safe---enjoy the movie.

I'm going to be posting a couple of pics of Tyler in a few.

One thing I learned is that I can take all the postcard pics I want (and I love trying to take them), but when I get home the pics that get looked at the most and the ones I go back to all the time are the ones with people in them.

So now I just bring bigger memory cards (or more of them) and take lots of pics of the ones I like (the postcard pics) and make sure I take lots with people in them too.

Funny you say this though. One of my regrets is not taking more pics of the people I met on the cruise. It's not like I didn't have my camera with me - it was glued to my hip. but I got home and was wishing I had more pics of my fellow cruisers.

I remember you taking this picture Monica. You were sitting on top of the seating backs.

Wow, that was a hot day.

Yep - I was trying to balance myself on top....at 1st when I looked at that pic I was asking myself why you guys were so far away, and then I remembered where I was.

The storms here we so horrible last night that my windows were rattling from the wind and I kept hearing things bumping up against the house because lots of stuff was flying around in the air. I've never seen wind that strong, other than tornadoes. I was here posting my last pics of the night and heard what sounded like a huge semi truck driving past my house but I looked out and saw no vehicles, it was just THE WIND. The sound wasn't quite that freight train sound of tornadoes, but I was about to go make Tyler get out of bed to go somewhere safer in the house, but quickly turned on the tv on my way to see if it said a tornado warning. Nope, it just said severe thunderstorm with extremely high winds, so we were fine. This morning on the way to church, it was difficult driving because EVERY street we went down had uprooted trees. About every 3rd street we passed, when we looked down it, we could see a giant tree or sometimes just a smaller one that had fallen across the road, completely blocking the road. A block down from our house a giant tree is across the road, and where the roots were pulled up, the SIDEWALK is completely raised! I can't wait to watch the news and see if there was a tornado that maybe just didn't touch down but just blew overhead because I've never seen so many giant trees completely uprooted from just wind. Before we go to the movie, Tyler wants to walk down and take a picture of that giant tree across the road, so I'll post it later. Amazing. We're the only house in the neighborhood that doesn't have branches all over the yard & driveway.

Brace yourself Holly. We have severe thunderstorms now in Chicago, so they will be moving your way in an hour or so. They appear to be moving eastward.

Is it just me .... Doesn't Snow White have the maniacal look of an axe murderer in her eyes ....?

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

It also looks like Tyler won't be having too many more photos taken with princesses doesn't it?

California Here We Come

I have booked a little trip for Sukie and I to Disneyland in September after Labor Day. We arrive very late on Friday, September 5th and return home early on Tuesday, September 9th.

Sukie has never been to DL. The last time I was there was around 1979, perhaps 1981. I hear it's changed.

I booked a room for us at the HoJo. The rate was pretty good and I just couldn't see using DVC points. I didn't think they were a good use of points. I just have to get us park hoppers and we'll be all set.

We'd love to see some of you California types when we are out there.

Sukie is being very blasé about it, which is typical. He never pays much attention to our vacation plans until we're on the plane.

Michelle, our countdown timers are brilliant aren't they!!!::yes:: ;)

But mine is off by a day.... ;)

So I guess they are mine tomorrow?

Ian... can you write me a note to get me out of Jury Duty??? Maybe something about a long lost Uncle biting the big one....
