I could give up going back to Vegas. We didn't really have time to do all the hotels and the shows......had to pick one and we went for the hotels.....swimming and a little gambling.

Barstow was a great place in the middle of nothing.....very strange to us.

For vacation, I would much rather do places in California that we didn't get to rather than spend time and money in Vegas.....I think every meal we ate was $100 or close to it....even the hotel buffet.

Vegas is not really my cup of tea either. Or, as Marilyn would say, I don't really fancy it. I have to be really, really rested before we go and I only want to stay a couple of days at the most, and not often, every 10 years or so is enough for me.

My mom and I just got home from DGS's final high school band concert. The seniors get up and exit the stage during the final number, leaving the empty chairs while the underclassmen keep playing. It really is a tear jerker moment. DrHug did not make it, he was coughing too much after working today and went straight to bed when he came home.

Most of those web shows don't work here in Canada. They have a block on them saying you must be a resident of the US - or at least accessing the internet via the US to be able to see them.

I'll check with the Canadian affiliates online too, as they might have it rebroadcast online there.

In the meantime, busy day at work tomorrow so I'm heading to bed.

I hope you made it to the doctor. If not, GO! I've gotten over the worst of the cough (now it's a dry cough) but I'm so tired. Naps each day break up the time I spend sitting on the couch. I had to walk a bit yesterday and it wore me out.

The house not a good place...

I'm with you Nan... Lisa.. stay home and take care of it... I'm on day whatever with it...(I started coughing in Acapulco...) and after flying...it' just really caught me... I've been in bed for 3 days. I still can't find the living room for all the unpacking I haven't gotten to...

I'm still hoping for 2010, but we might manage 2011 if they take the Magic or Wonder through for their taking up residence. Until the new locks are complete, the new ships can't do the transit.

I'll go on any of them... I don't even have to be so excited about the ports, although it would be nice to see some other places.

Sorry to hear about this. Not nice at all. How did Truman & Tallulah react when you guys got home? How are they now?

That is our state bear (the Grizzly) at Grizzly River rapids. We call it Bear Moutain around here or "our bear" at California Adventure. I think it is hilarious that none of us in our house or neighbors know the name of the mountain (as Monica did!)

During Xmas and Halloween they project images of snowflakes and spiders onto the bear's head.

We have black bears here and the only tribute we have to them is all the postcards with their butts hanging out of the garbage dumpsters...

I think now the cruise is over we will all have times of talking to ourselves!

Monica... send a hard copy... certified or rather, registered to Mr. McAlpin... then haul your cute little behind over to PC or rather Celebration because I'm sure that's where he works and give him a piece of your mind!!! He knew virtually nothing about the Panama Cruise, other than I booked it, until we got on the airplane.

Yesterday, we drove up in Mrs. Fezziwig to the Chicago Botanical Gardens, and suddenly he said to me, "You know, people kept coming up to me on the ship that I had never met before and asked me how Mrs. Bennett and Mrs. Fezziwig were. How I liked the Smart Car. What did you say on that bulletin board?"

Tallulah, the smarter of the two, was especially subdued for several days. On the plus side she was also exceptionally well behaved. We thought she had given up trying to be evil.

We now believe that she comfortably believes that the dog sitter is not coming back, so she has returned to her old ways. Feeling that Sukie did not give her sufficient attention today, she pooped in his office.

Ah, it's good to be home ...

Ahhhhh... Tallulah... she's just p'd at you guys because you didn't bring her a T shirt from Cabo...

Hello Everybody

The weather is miserable here still have pile of washings!!

I feel tired this morning and went back to bed and got up now. Must be jetlag!!

I put kids to bed last night at 9 pm, kids got confused *** it was light here at 9 pm!! They got up at 1 o clock in the morning!! I put them back in the bed and explained about different times in USA.

They went to school this morning and I feel no energy now. I wonder just me or same everybody else?

Anyway, we had booked the bummer dates for 2009 but we will forward it to 2010. We booked for 24 Oct 09 for 7 days Disney Cruise.

I am afraid that we cannot make it on Sept 09 as we love to come along but kids cannot get off school. We wait and see what is 2010? Hopeful it is North Europe as Brent spoked us and he is hoping and cannot guarantee so wait and see.

My husband start new job today and his parent came over last night as they missed our kids.

Olivia is going to densist today with Ian's dad to get laser her front chip teeth.

I better move on as I still in my pyjmas

Have not upload my camera yet!! Will do it this week or weekend.

Hi Deborah.

I think the jetlag is worse because of the 8 hour time difference instead of the 5 normally for Florida, plus the fact that we were away for a longer time. We are still not back to normal. I also think it must be worse for you with the timing of your flight home.

I hope Olivia's tooth is sorted ok. She is such a cute little thing and I loved chatting to her - when I could get a word in!!!!!!

Hope Ian's first day in his new job goes well too.

I hate the weather. I finally gave up on my cropped trousers as I was just too cold and did what I was dreading and put my long trousers on that I wore just before the cruise. Amazing - they still fit!
