West Michigan DISboard crop?

Ok, I mentioned this in passing on the Oct. Challenge thread but seriously it sounds like there are enough of us in the area that this could be fun.

I'm located in the Muskegon area....and would be willing to host.

Anyone interested? If so what is better Saturday or Sunday?

In looking at my schedule Oct 23 or 24 look possible along with a variety of dates in November.

If you're interested...post here (or email me) that you are along with thoughts on timing.

Of course, if you wanted to drive in from somewhere else you'd be welcome as well!

Looks like the 3 of us might be it (haven't seen anything on the boards from wdwmom in awhile though). Although my co-leader is probably up for a crop day as well.

Want to shoot for Sat. Oct. 23rd? Maybe 10-6 or whatever portion of that you can come for?

I would love to join in. On Sat. I would not be able to make it until after 12:00. ALthough I am thinking (I am at work right now) my brother is coming into town that weekend. My nephew is playing hockey at the Edge and he is staying with us. My DH would kill me (and that would be putting it mildly) if I left him alone with my brother for the day. So I may have to pass and hopefully come another time. I will check the date when I get home. I would love to to a monthly west MI crop and we could rotate houses maybe.

I have been working full-time since school started and will through Thanksgiving. After that I am taking it easy. I plan to not sub much the month of Dec. so I can gather my sanity back and get myself into the Christmas spirit, and my house back into shape.

We're planning on Sat. 10/23 anytime folks are available from roughly 10- 6ish or so as folks are available.

I'll probably put together something simple folks can eat as they wish, like sloppy joes? But if anyone wants to bring other treats that is cool too. Or not! At least bring yourself and crop stuff!

One more thing. I'd be willing to host a gathering, but I can't guarantee I'll find an open weeknd every month (especially with the holidays coming up rather quickly). I could probably do something in January, though.

I am not sure yet if I can make it, should know more by the end of the weekend so I will let you all know for sure by then.

I would also be willing to host one as well. I live in the burbs of GR so not to far from most everyone. I have a HUGE clubhouse that can be used. If you put 2 to a table there is enough room for 12-14 people.

I will not be able to make it Sat. Sunday I could have. With PITA brother coming I can't leave DH with him alone. My nephew's hockey game isn't until 2:30 on Sat. and I already said my boys and I would come watch a game. The 2:30 is the only one we will be able to go to. This really stinks. If the game was earlier I could go to the game then come scrap. Not sure what I am going to do with my brother all morning. My boys have a soccer game at 10:00 but that is it. Any ideas on what to do with a 40 year old man with no life other than his son (who will be with his Mom. They are divorced)????


I am glad you all like the idea of hosting a crop once a month or so. I will do Feb. DH will be gone the weekend of Superbowl, Feb. 5-7 I think. I can have that Sat. at my house. I live in Zeeland, about 3 miles off of I-196 for those in GR and easy to get to from US-31 for the Muskegon and GH crowd.

I thought I would be able to come but not on the 23rd. My dad bought tickets to the zoo boo thing in Battle Creek for the kids on that day so they can enjoy the zoo and some holiday festivities.

We have custody of my stepson and that is the weekend he is home so we are going that weekend.

Keep me updated on any other crops around here because I sure would LOVE to come and meet other Dis'ers.

Also I would be more than happy to host one myself in Jan, Feb, March - Just let me know when

Hello, I can't make it for the upcoming crop, but I would love to meet and crop with fellow DISers. I live in the Kalamazoo area, but we would be willing to make the drive if the weather cooperates!!!

Timing after my November trip would be perfect!!! I would definitely love to bring my past WDW albums for sharing ideas, and would like to look at others' albums as well.

Well there were only 3 of us on Saturday but we had fun. I know I managed to finish a LOT of pages.

Want to try again? I've discovered that on Sat. Nov. 13 BOTH of my high schoolers will be at a church retreat and DH has a long day with the start of firearm deer season right around the corner.

So let me know if you're up for it! I've already booked the day to scrap and would be happy to host again.

I won't be able to make that day as my friend is hosting an all weekend crop that weekend up in Cadillac that I have already RSVP'd too.

Ok, you all have to start making these on dates I am avail!!
